Hi how are you? Sorry to bother you ,but I have the same status on my notes.
Could you kindly share some info with me please?

I see some people say that they have this same status under the info sharing section because they were once rejected a visa or got deported.
But none of the above happened to me, and I still got the same status.
I got my tourist visa on my first try and due to schedule conflict I did not have time to go to the USA.
So, I wonder what kind of info they are assessing.

Could kindly let me know your situation, please? Thanks in advance.
Hello,

Sorry I have taken so long in replying to you. I have found that the info sharing does not really have much to do with anything other than that they are yet to start your background check. I suspect that its been completed but just has not been updated on their end. I got my PPR a few weeks after. I hope you have received yours at this time? The processing times are longer now and not what they used to be. Just be hopeful and call IRCC for regular updates. Sit tight. Fingers crossed for you

Hello- not sure if this is still monitored
But I just saw the Info sharing in my case took like 6 months- used to live in US for 2 yrs

But I have long travel history but without visa rejections- kind be a reason- dont know
but Thought INfo sharing should be easy- unless it is not...

Hey guys. I have in a similar situation. I ordered my GCMS notes and I observed that in one stage my Biometric-FCC (USA) status was complete- Not Reviewed and later on changed to "Ready to be assessed".

The problem with my application is that I didn't realize that I had to submit FBI report after leaving the USA, so my FBI report dates 1 month before leaving the USA. Will that be a problem as they are partner countries and do share information between them? or should I order a new one?

It has been 180 days since my AOR and eligibility is met but nothing on admissibility and security.

Thank you in Advance

Hi, I have a similar situation. In my GCMS notes, there are two extra info sharing with USA. One is "Biometric FCC Detail: complete-assessed" and another is "Biographic-additional info: ready for officer review". It have taken more than 10 months since I submitted my visa application, and there is still no final decision. I am wondering have you received you visa? or what is going on with your info sharing with USA.

Some applicants may see this in their GCMS; Type: Biometric FCC – Additional Information. FCC refers to The Five Country Conference (FCC) which is a forum for co-operation on migration and border security, between the countries of Australia, Canada, New Zealand, United Kingdom, and the United States. Hi, thanks for your reply. I am wondering if this kind of info sharing is part of the scurity screening? In my GCMS notes, some info are redacted based on s.13/15/16. It takes really long time for my visa application. Even though I have received the first stage elligibility assessment letter, I am still worried about my case.

Info sharing is part of background check which also includes criminality checks and security screening. Background check or background verification is a generic term for all three stages. It's normal for security to be redacted when its underway. You may read about security at https://bit.ly/3iXMnyw also the online version of CBSA's security screening manual is here for your perusal https://bit.ly/3mqHP5I

I have not ordered GCMS for 4 months now, as my case was not moving at all. The last status of my info sharing was "ready to be assessed". I have raised webform though, which states security and background are valid, but as you can guess I don't have the detail. I am still waiting for my PPR email.

Thanks for your reply. It seems that we are submited the application in a similar timeline. I just ordered my GCMS notes last month, and I am planning to order a new one next month to see if there is any update. I also raised wf three weeks ago and got reply saying my application is in progress. I just don't understand why it takes so long time to process the application. As far as I know, many people got their info shairng completed very soon, and got the PPR email within 6 months this year. Keep fingers crossed for us.

The covid situation is understandable but I am very close to a year mark. To add fuel to the fire, Ontario has gone to lockdown and I am guessing there will be more delays in CPC Ottawa, that is where my case is when I last checked. I was expecting a little bit of delay as they have to go through my background from three different countries which include the USA and which is notorious for taking the time. I hope you get the golden mail soon. BTW do you have any idea where your case currently is?
