Is there anyone with file in DM2 status, having crossed medical pass eligibility date and who has still not received any updates?

I am in this situation with parents in Canada but looks like nobody is even looking at the file. I have already raised webforms, called Ircc but nothing is helping. The webforms never reached them so they changed the address over the call. As the days are passing by, its becoming really stressful.

I have seen files which are not DM2 being progressed but why the nothing for the ones which are already DM2 ?

Can anyone suggest what additional steps should i take as i want make most out of my parents' trip.
I had submitted and passed my medicals in Oct 2019 and today I got another request for new medicals since its been over a year. Without the fault of my own CIC sent another letter asking for new Medicals.

I need advice on getting travel exemption for sponsored parents with dependents. I know that parents are exempt from travel restrictions as they are considered immediate family members of the sponsor. Dependents of parents, however, are considered extended family members of the sponsor (Am I correct?). Does anyone know if dependents are exempt from travel restrictions and are allowed to travel to Canada together with their parents?

There are different ways that dependents could travel to Canada for the purpose of landing:
1. Principal applicant travels to Canada first and becomes a permanent resident. Dependents can travel at a later date as immediate family members of the landed parent. This is not my favorite option as they'll have to travel separately.
2. As dependents are considered extended family members of the sponsor, sponsor can request a travel exemption for them.
3. Traditionally principal applicant and all dependents travel together for the purpose of landing. This is my favorite option but I wonder if it's viable with all travel restrictions.

I welcome any thoughts on this. Thanks!

There was a notice from IRCC about additional travel exemption for family members coming to Canada on visitor visas.
For CBSA, entering Canada who has COPR and PR visa is no problem but the airlines may interpret the other way sometimes.

This is the rule for visitor visa. immigration visa is different. I dont believe there is any problem for dep landing. if it was, they wouldnt have given them visa :)

Does anyone know if we need to inform IRCC if the Sponsor's address and phone number has changed? My application to sponsor my mom has been in "progress" since March at NDVO with no update. Medicals passed, police check documents additional information all sent, and now we are just waiting. All of their correspondence so far has been via e-mail, so I am thinking it is not needed. If needed however, how would I inform them of the change? NDVO doesn't seem to read webform for PGP 2019.

Also, given they have started PGP2020, does anyone know if there is plans to complete all PGP 2019 applications within 2 years of submission? We submitted end May 2019.

May 2019 applicant. Medical was done dec2019 and expired dec12 2020. Yesterday I got an update on gc key "you have passed your medicals on 18 dec 2020". We did not do the medical again. Though, we were asked for pcc again last month as the previous one expired.

Today, on the application status online tool it shows " Decision made". Anybody in the same plane? Should I be expecting PPR anytime now?

Hi Mike,

I don’t see any issue in landing the dependent with the principal applicant. They all can land together at the same time. If it’s the case that dependant cannot enter to Canada because she/he is not immediate family, they add a note in PPR letter or visa.
Hi Sharareh,

Thank you for your comment. I'm mostly worried about how airlines would interpret the restrictions. I have sent emails to CBSA and Ankara VO about this issue. I'll update if I hear anything from them.

Thank you @laxsun, I agree with you. I have contacted CBSA and Ankara VO to confirm this.

Hello everyone
My parents file was received 22 May 2019. Medical a going to expire on December 22. I noticed in my cic account they have updated you do not need medical exam we will send you mssg if it changes.
Before there was always written medical received December 21 and passed.
Does that mean they have given extension to us?
If anyone knows and how long they take for DM2 after that.Everything is done from my parents side and submitted just waiting for DM2.
Thank you

Hello everyone,

Thank you for all the valuable information in this forum.

I have not seen any movement with my father's application applied in 2019. I received the AOR in December 2019 as "Application Received". I have not seen any further communication for this application. As per ecas update The application was received on June 26, 2019. Do we have anyone else in a similar situation? Is there a number I can call and enquire about the status? I know the processing is slow but I just want to make sure my application is not stuck.

Thank you for your inputs.
Thanks, Raj

Which office processed your application?
