Thanks!

I used to have a German Permanent Residentship card- that's fully in German except for one small remark on the bottom - Residence Permit.

Do I need to translate it?

IRCC doesn't ask to send any proof of immigration status outside of Canada, you just need to let them know while filling out the application form ( Q13).
You don't need to translate it and you don't need to send it, follow the application checklist.

Yes. but the checklist asks for this -

Photocopies of biographical pages of passport and/or travel documents. All biographical pages of passports and/or travel documents covering five
(5) year eligibility period. If these documents are not in your possession, provide an explanation in question 14 on the application form. See Step 3 and
4.14 in the instruction guide. If your passport validity was extended, include a photocopy of the page(s) containing the extension stamp(s).

So my German PR covering 5 last years of eligibility and I'll provide the scanned copy of it, so do I need to translate it though?

The PR card is not included in the list of travel docs they are asking for here. Your passports for the last 5 years are what they want to see here. PR card is proof of status, not a travel document. Some people have a protected person status here in Canada and don't have their home passport, in their case Canada provides them a refugee travel document, they can use it as a passport to travel outside Canada. That is what the question is referring to by TRAVEL DOCUMENT.

That makes sense, thank you!

Hi there,

I'm printing the physical presence calculator and it's coming out on two pages (the second page is for signature and date), is that ok?

If you are using Google Chrome and when you print and click on more settings just change the scale ro 95% it will fit on 1 page. I did the same.

Everyone in Canada is an immigrant. So which do they hate?
It's complicated - on the one hand, these are YouTube comments, which are always terrible.

On the other, it's also bad optics to be having a physical protest in the middle of a pandemic and honestly, the CBC coverage didn't actually do a good job of making the case of why this was an issue, which only added fuel to the fire. The people in those videos kept saying that their lives were 'in limbo', but didn't really expand on anything that specifically was an obstacle for them given they were already safe and unharmed in this country and there was no removal order for them. Ditto for the other person in that video with a 'talking head' bit.

I am happy that the issue is being brought to public view, but as a news story, it could have been framed better. Then again, as one other poster here said - public support isn't really needed for this cause, political visibility is.

Protesting in the middle of the pandemic is not really what they don't want to see here. The main issue is, who is protesting ? We see people protesting against mask wearing in the middle of pandemic and in red deer people protesting against anti racist rally in the middle of pandemic, I didn't read any bad comment in both cases. As you said their view or opinion wasn't the goal of the protest.

HI
I am plaining to apply for citizenship in this month and have few questions.
1 -question10-a regarding addresses in side or outside of Canada
how we will fill all the address in the situation like this : left Canada for home country for 2 month and in this 2 month spend 1 month in home country and period traveled to Saudi Arabia for 7 days and then back to home country and spend 23 days and then back to Canada, how we fill the address first Canada then home country then Saudi Arabia then home country then Canada ?
is it true or any other way to fill it out ?

2- Q 11 A little bit same like the above question we we will put the home visit as un employment ?
3- my wife is house wife and definite she is unemployed. so we will put that she is unemployed from landing date to present date. in company column will be N/A but what will be in the next column like place of employment study or other activity. and same with the other next city and country column because in this period we have changed 4 address .
any body can guide me ?
thanks

HI GUYS.

Your address

Write all your addresses inside and outside of Canada during your 5-year eligibility period, including the postal codes, starting with your current home address. If you were residing, working or studying outside Canada, you must list all of your foreign addresses, including the country postal or mailing codes. Press the plus (+) button if you need more space. You don’t need to include addresses of family, friends, hotels or resorts where you stayed while on vacation.

Provide information that covers the 5-year eligibility period. Do not leave any gaps during this period and do not leave this section blank. If you do, your application will be returned to you as incomplete.

If we visit our country to see my brother , relatives and friends then we fall in which category either in family or friends ?
