FSW inland here and thanks for the positive news.
Please guide, Should I go for BOWP, visa expires next month.
Same situation, my work permit expires early Decrmber. I have already applied for the BOWP as that is the only solution for now.

Thanks will do in a day or two. But technically I have till last day right?
Yes. I don't see any reason why not to do it except the fee. If they don't finish your application until then, you can extend your SIN and health care coverage with BOWP, and you could avoid the implied status (well, the processing time is around 2 months, so it's already tight). Some employers don't allow employees to work in the implied status. The BOWP is an open WP, so you can change employers and occupancy freely as you want. If something goes south (COVID), you have valid WP, and you qualify for EI and other benefits. Without a valid WP, it's more complicated.

Got my GCMS notes today (ordered on Oct 8). My application was put in a special group named PRBIO. However, I noticed my name was in wrong order in the notes which only happened for the first time only. Normally it was Nguyen, Van B. But now it changed to Nguyen, B Van. Should I raise a webform to confirm my last name and first name or not. @legalfalcon please help. Really appreciate!

Eligibility: Passed
Med: Passed
Criminality: Passed (Oct 9, same day as Biometric was updated in the application)
Security: blank (but webform confirmed Passed)
Info sharing: In progress (ready to be assessed Oct 9)
Biometric fee got refunded on Nov 5.
Still waiting for final decision.

Hi Everyone, I raised GCMS notes and received an email - "An extension of 90 days beyond statutory 30 day limit is necessary to process your request"

That in accordance with the Access to Information Act, an extension of 90 days beyond the statutory 30 day limit is necessary to process your request. This extension is due to a large number of records or necessitates a search through a large number of records and meeting the original time limit would unreasonably interfere with the operations of the government institution.

Is there anyone who got the same reply ? Please suggest as it is really making me tensed.

@legalfalcon Please advise if you have come across this scenario before

Thanks in advance.
Most requests for GCMS notes lately, are getting this. There is nothing to be concerned, this is due to the fact that Ottawa is a red zone and all ATIP operations take place from there.

Usually the names are written as Last Name, Given Name.

If this is not correct, you can surely send a webform and point it out.
