You Ottawa guys are lucky. Us Mississauga folks have been stuck at eligibility and background check since March .
Did you call the IRCC to find out what is the current status?
Probably we (Ottawa & Mississauga) are all in the same stage. For some reason they are putting DMs and PPRs on hold to applicants from India.

Is your spouse travelling to Canada soon?

There have been a few - very few - sporadic reports here of applicants that were at PPR stage (I believe after PPR but possibly after DM) that were travelling to Canada and CBSA did the landing process at the border/port of entry despite not having COPR yet (it came up in their system and they just did the paperwork).

I doubt there is anything you can do to check or arrange this in advance, but to keep in mind that while not common, could happen.
We wanted to and tentatively made plans once he got DM because what a great Christmas gift that would be hahahha! But looking unlikely now with quarantine times etc. We may try at the border. Thank you so much. I guess we just continue to wait for PPR for a bit longer

Try asking specific questions.
For example when I called IRCC, I told the agent that I already know the eligibility for both PA and Sponsor is passed, security check is passed, and criminally check was pending and asked him if there was any update on criminally check. Then agent told me criminality check is also passed and now decision is pending.

Thanks for the tips. it’s very subjective on the agent too. One of them gave us similar info. Citing crim had passed. I’ll probably give it a few weeks. My lawyer had also reached out to IRCC and an MP to see what’s up. And the agents see all of that.

We have a really similar timeline, almost identical from sponsor approval onward. What country are you guys applying from?

The sponsor is canadian citizen and principal applicant is residing in united states but with a saudi arabian citizenship.
Initially the application went to CPC sydney then got transferred to Ottawa. Things went quick but now just waiting for PPR. I have no clue why its taking so long but it might be that they're prioritizing DM.

How about you?

Yeah I am confused! According to the spreadsheet PPR was happening quickly but nothing really coming from Ottawa, like you said. We are in the US right now, my husband is a US citizen. I'm thinking about trying to go back to Canada together and just wait it out at home instead of here, since PPR seems to be taking forever.

Yeah my spouse and I decided to wait it out in canada. Currently waiting for the last step here. Best of luck to you and all of us waiting. Unfortunately, previous timelines are not applicable to any of our situations due to COVID so we just have wait and see.

Probably better. Did you have issues at the border or no?
