I got ghost update on 23rd oct waiting for decision made since then. Even my file is at Ottawa.
Application recd date is 17th feb.
I got Pre arrival on 6th oct.

If you don't mind may I ask from which country the PA is from? We also have received pre-arrival on Oct 21, 2020.

Also, when you said you are waiting for DM is it safe for me to assume PA has given biometrics already? Because without that not sure how IRCC can issue DM.

Have you looked at the requirements for travelling to UAE from India? (I.e visa requirements, quarantine requirements, etc.)
We are also looking into this option so any information would be really helpful for us to decide.

Additional document request came in for our application . PCC from applicant's country since previous one had expired . They have given 1 of 3 ways to submit the document .
Either the GcKey Portal : which shows an option for submitting the requested additional document by its name
or via webform
or to send to sydney via mail.

Any idea which one could yield faster acknowledgement ?? Is the Gckey Submission or sending via webform preferred in this case?

Yes i have...
1)PA needs to apply for Dubai visa. Takes about a week to get it. Cost about 6000 rupees. Flight is about 15000 rupees two way.

2) For me I am Canadian citizen and get visa when i land and needs to follow the covid procedures. Cost about $1400 return for me.

3) Gives us a chance to meet and have a small vacation I guess.

I just received SA today which is obviously great. What doesn’t seem so great is the letter they sent me said they are forwarding her application to Bogotá. Which is in Columbia. My wife lives in CAMBODIA. Did the visa office mess up? This isn’t the right place to send it, no?
I know it can be sent to different countries. This makes me nervous just because the countries have such similar names.

They are sending apps from BUSY VO's to others for faster processing, shouldn't be a problem.

Nd mine Biometrics and medical is completed in early march 2020.
Everything is almost done from PA side just waiting for final decision from them.

What is a ghost update looks like?

Its just a change in Gckey when u login.
For example when u login it will show you that your application is updated on the first page of gckey and as soon as you logout it will again be the same as earlier.

Feb 13th applicant.
Bio & Med done in March.
File Moved to Ottawa on September 3rd.
Received Pre-arrival letter on October 6th. Just waiting for final decision.

Are your eligibility and background check completed? My app was received in Jan and the agent says they haven't even initiated the eligibility and background check yet on my file? VO is CPC-M. Difficult to come to terms with it

They are sending apps from BUSY VO's to others for faster processing, shouldn't be a problem.

In this case it was actually a mistake. I gave them a call and she checked the application and somebody at the visa office had inputted her country of residence as Columbia and not Cambodia. Luckily it hadn’t been sent away yet she she flagged it to be fixed.
