Did these applicants receive remedical after the exact six months from the date of their previous medical or CoPR expiry?

Hi everyone, I am in a bit of a tricky situation, I got tested positive for COVID about 10 days back and have almost recovered. Thankfully, it was a very mild form. I got the 4-pointer mail on 29th Sep and I replied to the 4-pointer email on 7th October, but haven't heard back from IRCC yet and I haven't seen any ghost updates on my profile either. My visa office is NDVO. Right now, the longer they are taking to respond to me, the better it is for me since I want to wait for at least 2-3 weeks post-recovery before I fly. Also, I've been told that it takes time to test negative for COVID, even though you build immunity and are not infectious anymore. I'm very tensed about getting a 30th Nov expiry date on my AL, especially if I don't test negative before that. The ideal situation for me would be to travel by mid-December.

Based on my conversation with the team from Air India, I will be required to submit a negative COVID test taken 96 hours before the flight. Has anyone else recovered from COVID recently and is planning on flying soon? Any insight into my situation will be super helpful. Thank you!
I believe you will be super fit to board in 2-3 weeks unless the condition is critical. You have already passed 10 days. So if you are negative. No one can stop you.

I doubt about this statement. What kind of jobs are you exactly targeting? Job market is at the lowest right now. People are getting laid off in big numbers.
Talking of blue collar jobs trucking, delivery executive, store workers, farm workers, construction are in huge demand. Among white collar jobs healthcare professionals, researchers, IT are hunting for workers too.

Yup true. Blue collar jobs are always in demand. White collar jobs are always worst hit.

Hi Everyone,
I received PPR last month to submit our passports and I am from the USA. Before jumping onto the question, I would like to provide a little background on my Express Entry application processing timeline:
Jan 2019: Received ITA
Feb 2019: Submitted Medicals
Nov 2019: Martial Status changed
Jan 2019: Updated my application by adding my spouse.
Feb 2020: Submitted the required documents
Mar 2020: Submitted Medicals of Spouse
Sept 2020: Submitted Biometrics (delay due to COVID)
Oct 2020: Received letter to submit our Passports with no mention of my medicals expiration.

My question:
  1. Do I need to retake my medicals? - If Yes, then do I need to send out a request to CIC and double-check with them? If No, will this have any effect on my entry into Canada in case if I received my COPR?
  2. In case If I do not retake my medicals - what would be the expiry date on my visa?
  3. I'm not inclined to travel outside of the USA during these hard times because I haven't traveled outside during this pandemic and want to stick to my house. So if they issue COPR somewhere around Mar 2021 perse basing on my spouse's medicals, can we request CIC to extend our visa?
Thank you in advance.

Hi @legalfalcon no luck as yet on the exemption letter, IRCC said on the phone today I wouldn't be entitled to one even as a Registered Nurse. I was however just reading through the exemption list and something jumped out at me. There appears to be an exemption for those who will be supporting indigenous communities (link below so correct me if i'm reading i wrong!). My job offer is from the Stoney Nakoda Nation in Alberta and I will be working in their community clinic as a Registered Nurse supporting the health and well being of the indigenous population on the reservation. So would this exemption apply to me?

Thank you for any advice!

For any exemption to apply you will need documentation from your employer, and your employer should also get this approved from the Provincial Public Health officials.

Once you have these which state that you are an essential worked and also you work involves indigenous population, you should be able to get an exemption. But without any documentation, expecting IRCC to search, won't help much.

Have you tried contacting your employer?

Hi All,

Need some pointers, I'm currently in USA (VO - Ottawa), like most of us, my COPR in May 2020. Since August I've raised multiple 'ready to travel' requests, so far there's no update/response other than the generic replies.

My medical expired in May 2020, and even with "6-months" extension assumption on Medicals, I think it would be safe to assume at this point that I'll need to re-take the medical. Now, to add additional complications, I need to visit India due to a personal emergency.
  1. Is there a place in India where I can take medicine without the appointment/invite letter (preemptively)? I heard about a hospital in Delhi, but if anyone can share a personal experience that would be very helpful
  2. And how exactly works, does the hospital automatically updates against my record? OR do they give any documents that I can upload when CIC asks for new medicals?
  3. Lastly, once again, any updates for anyone from the US? or with Ottawa VO?
Thanks all in advance, much appreciate you all helping out each other. True community spirit.

Hi All-
Did anyone from US got the AL?
I raised ready to travel webform twice and got the generic repsonse from IRCC.However both responses were very different.
Anyone else in similar situation?
I am in the same situation. I got my PR card because I was able to travel before my copr expired. However, my wife could not because of pregnancy and covid. I have raised 2-3 web forms (the first one was raised in september). Still no response. Did you get yours
