Tired and exhausted of this torturous waiting game. Only suicide remains my final option. All I have is sleepless nights waiting and praying for an email but no results to avail.
Under no situation should you ever consider to take that option. The frustration and torture has to end eventually. It is difficult I know, many on this group are feeling the same pain. Your situation may be different then mine but we are with you and still holding on to the Canadian dream which we have worked so hard for.

Thank you for this post. It would help us all.

Can you please brief us about the questions asked at Delhi immigration and what exactly is mentioned on AL as our Visa has expired?
Also, were you travelling alone or with family?

Thank you. :)
AL is just a simple mail that has your UCI, Application number, Passport number, Visa number and the travel by date. It says that it is an authorized travel document since they are not able physically print new visas and coprs.
Delhi immigration asked about the AL and then checked among themselves if it can be allowed. After some discussion, I was allowed to go.
I was traveling with my spouse.

No need to be jump to conclusion. If you have a COPR, what you need to do is get an authorisation letter to travel which will depend on the country of residence.
Hi @legalfalcon could you expand on this please? I'm currently in the UK and have a job as a Registered Nurse in Alberta. How would I get this authorization letter to travel? What are the rules around who is eligible?

That's not the solution now, we all are in the same boat here. Its all because of Pandemic. One fine day we will be receiving the Golden email. Just be positive! Don't lose hopes!!

Totally relatable, completely understand what you are going through.

Hope, positivity and staying strong is very important during this setback. We will get through this, they can't keep us in a limbo forever.

Please reach out for help to friends or family members or avail of medical assistance. This will end for sure - it is basically a question of time.

Travel Experience with Letter of Authorization on 28th Oct

Travelled from my hometown to Toronto via Delhi on Air India. While checking in at the airport, i was told that they would check me in till Delhi as the visa and Letter of Authorization (AL) would have to be verified at Delhi. I reached Delhi 4 hours prior to the Toronto flight departure. Had to pick up the bags from the domestic baggage belt and go to the 2nd floor Departures in T3 for recheck in. I was directed to the E Aisle of ticketing. There was a special line at the front where the travel documents were being verified by the airline staff. They took pictures of the Visa, CoPR and AL and sent them for verification to IRCC or the Embassy (Not sure which one). Average time of response was 10-15 mins. Was also asked to sign an indemnity form for any deportation or quarantine issues. Once they got a response, the staff wrote “OK TO BOARD” with some confirmation number on the back of the indemnity form. After that I was directed to the ticketing counter where the bags were checked in and the person checking in took photographs of Visa, CoPR and AL again. Once the boarding passes were issues, had to go through immigration. I was asked a lot of questions and after that they put the departure stamp on my passport. The whole process took 2.5 hours, and I reached the gate barely half an hour before boarding started. The 14.5 hours flight to Toronto was torturous with the mask and face shield on all the time except for eating or drinking water. Once we landed in Toronto, the immigration and the customs processes were quick and hassle free. The only things asked were the address to which the PR card had to be sent and if I had more than 10K CAD money in hand.

Overall, it was a long and exhausting journey but had to be done for completing the landing process before Oct 31. I really hope IRCC takes a more sensible approach for all the expired CoPRs instead of this mess which has left everyone deflated and confused.
Dear Sid,

Can you please tell me what documentation you provided when you submitted the web form stating you are ready to travel? Is it proof of funds, if so how much did you show and 2) did you submit any proof of stay ?

keep my cool since last 6 months. Not only these 6 months infact this whole journey needs to be considered. From IELTS to documentation and then the copr now this waiting game. I don't know how much more.
We understand your pain but you are not the only one who is going through this. Many others and myself too had waited for 3.5 long years and when I was 2 days away from my dream, lockdown happened.I would have travelled in January only but my son had 12 th board exams and we decided he will give his exams in India as he has worked really hard. His last paper was on 17th March when the lockdown was declared.I really cried alot that day that what has happened..it seemed my dream has shattered...but gradually came to know of this extension thing. Now it been 7 months...sent 4 rtt web forms but no reply .My son is studying online as per Canadian time zone from a big univ there. But at least he is studying. We feel like breaking down sometimes but then hope is the only thing which keeps us moving Do not lose hope.We will land sooner or later.

Thank you again. Much appreciated. I would also be travelling with my Spouse. Hopefully they are aware of the situation.

Hi All,

COPR expired 30March issued in December. Didn't received the 4pointer email but got a message in my EEprofile in June stating that whenever I am ready to travel I need to submit a webform. I am ready to travel now and have a question, if I was granted immigration on the express entry program do I need to land in the province which I selected while creating my profile or i can land in any province. When I created my profile, I selected Alberta, since my friend was living there but he has now mover to BC. So can i land in BC or first entry should be in Alberta?. Secondly, since I did not received the 4pointer email, in the webform do I need to answer the 4points or just make a simple request for ready to travel.

Thanks
