Only 1 person has received PPR in UAE, the case is on Immitracker but apart from that I don’t think anyone else has received.

What’s your AOR and status?

Aor : Nov 11
As per gcms notes, every section says passed and final approved, but no updates on my profile.

Let's hope we see those ppr emails coming in soon.

Best of luck

I think it depends on medicals validity now. If you got medicals done in 2019 November/December, they have to extend it or ask for re-medicals

No, it wasn’t. That’s my concern as it expires on 23rd of December.
I believe they extended but you haven’t noticed it. December is too near.

Nop, I received my GCMS notes as well. The COPR expiry is December. But now I have no clue what to do. Borders are still closed and I don’t know how long they will take for Visa stamping

Hi @legalfalcon

Thank you for always responding. Please I have a concern, I found out my application was approved via gcms notes (approved March 31st and updated April 29) and counterfoil printed.
I was going through the notes today and saw on the page where it shows counterfoil there’s ‘Valid To: 2020/11/23’
I’m yet to get a PPR request, my question goes thus;
1. is this ‘valid to’ for the counterfoil that was printed?
2. does this mean if I don’t get a PPR request before then it becomes invalid?
3. is this what is meant my COPR expiration?

Worthy of note:

1. The counterfoil refers to your visa and the visa has a validity before which you have to land in Canda.

2. Since currently IRCC is not issuing PPRs, or is issuing them on a case by case basis, when the PPR is sent, you will have a revised Visa and the date entered in the GCMS notes may be changed or revised.

3. COPR does not have any expiration date. It is a document that is issued and works as a proof of your PR in Canada. However, to travel to Canada, you need a visa and that will have an expiry date.

Finaly got the golden e-mail.

AOR - 11/2019 (AINP)
Medical expires on Dec 3rd 2020
PPR - 15/10/2020
OUTLANDER
Not from visa exempt countries

Dec 3rd is very soon especially that we have applied for a passport for our new born child. The passport hasn't arrived yet and it needs more than a month. So that's November (minimum).
Yet its clear that if i miss the medical expiry deadline i have to reapply.

@legalfalcon any recommendations? Have you encountered something similar? Do you mind sharing some words/phrases?

Ill reply to have the medical extended and update them with the passport details once it arrives

My understanding was that CoPR has an expiration date, tied to medicals or passport validity, whichever comes first. Hence you have to enter Canada before CoPR expires. That's what it says on their website. Unless they have changed things because of Covid?!

The COPR as such as no expiry date. It has the application and visa details entered on it and thus you have to enter Canada before your visa expires. You cannot enter Canada only on COPR, unless you are entering from the US by land or you are from a visa exempt country.

The COPR is the document that should the date when you became the PR and will be used until you become a citizen.

The PR card is a travel document valid for 5 years from the date of issue.

Congratulations!!

Do you have to add your child? If you do, then you can inform IRCC and they will ask for documents pertaining to your child, a revised PoF.

If your medicals are expiring, IRCC will send them to the Regional Medical Officer who will make a determination on whether to extend them or as for a remed.

So the Visa expiration date is tied to the medicals expiration? For example, if I get CoPR today and my medical expire in January 2021, I get visa which expires in January 2021?
