Hi, do you got the Application Number for Dependent Child Sponsorship, with that were you able to link the application. I have sent my application on March 2020 and they have received in the same month but still didn't get AOR. Do you think, I have to call them to get the Application Number to track the status online.

Hi, the agent informed me when I called that I wont be able to link the application online just yet. She said that when I receive the AOR with the application number then I will be able to link it.
However she gave me the temporary application number which starts with XF000XXXXXX. The actual application number will start with F000XXXXXX. It just helped me put my mind at ease knowing that they received the application and it wasn't lost. She also confirmed my son's information in the system and the date that they received the application (April 17th 2020).
If u want to call them to get ur application number just have ur receipt number ready and the rest is applicant's name and DOB and so on.
Please do let us know when u receive AOR.

Good to find this group, have been searching for people in same boat since long.
Myself and my husband both got our PRs last year, We made our port of entry in July 2019.
I was pregnant then, so we returned to India as we wanted to have the baby delivered with family support.
My husband applied for dependant application for our new born son on 3rd April, and the application was received by cic on 6th April.
There has been no movement in the application since then.
We called up CIC multiple times, On 5th Sept we got to know from the CIC Agent that Feb 2020 applications are being processed at the moment.
On Following up exactly after a month, they were still processing application received on 12th of Feb 2020.
We are now thinking of applying for a visitor Visa for the baby as well, so that we can unite as a family, ofcourse we will inform the visa office that sponsorship application is underway as well.
What is the latest date in the group, where the application is approved?

Hey.. to help put ur mind at ease call the IRCC and get ur temporary application number..
This is their number 8882422100 option 2-1-1
They will also inform you the date it was received.. just have ur receipt number ready...
Please do let us know what happens with u as I'm starting to get concerned that they are going way too slow now and I am an inland applicant as well.

Seems VFS is updating fee structure, they might charge for passport submission through courier,

That's very frustrating.. I feel like we are hanging on threads here.. I hope that we start hearing about AORs soon.
Guys, I wanted to ask if people noticed a change in processing times for dependant child.. at first Inland was 11 months pre covid then it turned into 12 months. Now its 13 months.. I was wondering if the same is for outland applicants..
