I have applied for me and my husband's Indian PCC . Both the application were sent in the same Puralator package . Mine is updated that it is sent for processing but for my husband they said nothing is received or updated . Did anyone faced the same issue. It is sent to BLS vancouver .
Hi Risingstar13

Can you please let me know if you are in Canada and your husband is in India? And that both of you have applied for PCC through BLS Vancouver?
I am in a similar situation - I am in Canada and my wife is in India - hence wanted to know.

I recently applied for PCC on 7 Feb 2020 and got it on 13 Feb 2020. Very fast processing. Applied at Brampton BLS, 20 Gillingham Dr .
They will keep your original passport along with application. Also i got the picture clicked at BLS itself which is convenient. Total fees - 90 $ CAD (Includes courier at home via Purolator).
Amazing quick service!

Its very simple process.
Hello,

Just to clarify, did you send both your original passport as well as your original work permit.

Thanks in advance for the clarification.

Regards,
Abinav

Hello everyone!!

I am trying to get more understanding on the process for obtaining a PCC.
I went to this website and got me ARN for PCC. Got the documents print as well. Here are a few things I would like to ask and hopefully it will help others as well.

1/ Currently I have taken an appointment for BLS Surrey for comnig Wednesday. But as I already have the application submitted online (and have ARN), can I just walk in their office any time and submit the documents? Don't really want to waste 7 days waiting for the appointment if possible.

2/ Will C$ 44.40 money order from Canada Post work in this case?

3/ Is BLS pickup and drop service recommended?
Do they provide envalopes with shipping labels or just the labels?
what are the cons, if any?

4/ I understand we now don't need to send any original document like the passport or work permit due to Covid situation. Is this correct understanding?

Thanks in advance for your time and help for clarifying these. I am sure it's going to be helpful for a lot of new folks like me in the future. Cheers!!

Hi all,

I am an Indian citizen living in Canada for almost 3 years now. I will be applying for permanent residence soon and I need police clearance certificate for it. I understand my options are: Go to one of the Indian consulates and apply for it in person; Go to one of the BLS offices; Send my application through post. I think the last option fits me better as I live too far from the closest consulate and BLS office, however, my brain cells are dying a slow death when I go through BLS website. They contradict themselves in their instructions for sending the PCC (once it's available) through post like postal order, certified cheque, and prepaid label. Where I live, these three are very different things and I just can't find any consistency on their website. Also, it states "Postal applications can be sent only to the Toronto, Ottawa and Vancouver application Service Centers." and it also states "All Postal applications can be sent only to the Ottawa, Brampton and Vancouver application Centers." I am not even sure what it means. Should I send it to Toronto or Brampton? I live in Toronto Jurisdiction. If anyone has gone through this process, please share your experience here. I will try to call them, but I highly doubt they will be able to give me any worthy advice considering how poorly their instructions are written on their website. Thanks.
Hi, anyone familiar with the BLS PCC application process more recently, particularly post-Covid? I just submitted my application this week and wanted to understand the timeline of the process.

Hi, I have gone through almost the same process but for BLS Vancouver.

1. I directly went to BLS after creating my ARN and submitted my application as Walkin
2. I used a bank DD, which worked even for walkin
3. They recommend it but I feel it is just more costly and time-consuming because it takes time for them to receive the application. I submitted my application around noon on Oct 14 and it is already under processing at the Consulate.
4. Yep, for walkin at least, they only wanted to look at the originals before stamping across the photocopies "Original seen and verified"

Let me know if you encountered anything different in the process. Also, if you submitted your application earlier in October, what's your application status? Any tentative idea when you expect to receive your PCC?

Hi Guys I just paid for the postal application Pick up and Drop off and it gave me an error page after payment but I checked my cc statement and it went through. I was able to download the transaction receipt from BLS page by inputting my card number but whenever I click shipping label it reload the page and doesn't download anything. I will try to call them all day but I was wondering if it happened to anyone here?

Hi,

Do I need to have ITA for applying the PCC in Ottawa? I checked their checklist and it says "Purpose and Document for seeking PCC must be ascertained, official communication from the Concerned authorities." I am little confused here. Can anybody help please?

Thanks
Hey there, did you get an update about what exactly it is? I am filling my form right now and I am stuck at the very same point.
