Hello- so I applied online last Aug10, 2020 still no update upto now. I attached my previous TRV since I got two but all expired coz its only 1 yr validity and also my US B1/B2 visa. I was expecting they will process as CAN+ but I got a response after inquiring in IRCC webform that they are not processing now any TRV's. So I guess i will not be processed until end of the year coz travel ban will be lifted only from Jan 1, 2021.

anyone here applied from Saudi?

Thanks

IRCC is processing TRVs, however at a much slower rate and with a focus on people who are currently allowed to travel. Do you have an immediate family member in Canada who is a Canadian citizen or Canadian PR?

Buddy wait until next year for you CAN+, this is not a great time for tourism. There are other applicants who are desperately waiting to go to Canada atm including International Students who have already paid their tuition and enrolled in their courses and close family members.

I am not rushing though but IRCC has updated some information that they are currently processing TRV's too.

Your aunt is not an immediate family member. Even if your visa is approved, right now you will not be able to travel to Canada due to COVID-19 travel restrictions.

Your visa processing won't be a priority right now since you can't travel here. You should expect it may take a few months to have a result.

I mentioned in my travel dates dec 15-31, 2020. I hope this time they will give until pp expiry. I got 2 TRV's before but validity was only 1 yr. I hope to hear from them before the end of 2020.
Thanks.

Many of us expect the travel restrictions to remain in place for the rest of the year. In my opinion, even if the TRV is approved, it's unlikely you will be able to travel in December.

I think you will hear back from them by end of 2020. However I'm not sure travel will be possible this year.
