its unfair how this these people have to decide if our relationship is real or not. disgusting!
If they think everyone is fraud due to some fraud marriages than I'm sorry everyone down the street is a criminal then.
How are they gonna process 6000 applications, all I saw was like 10 people getting dm since last week on spouse sponsorship on fb.
And they are asking ADR to waste more time for these people so they can say "we are working on applications" LOL
Exactly, they expect us to have kids and go through everything all alone. everyone needs a partner in that time.Exactly same here......my husband is saying the same...we are only going to see until end of month and then start living together somewhere in the world.....i need to start my family and have kids and home for my family.....TIME is just passing

minister's eyes just opened last week that there is a backlog...was he sleeping before ?
apparently this backlog has been a problem before lockdown. Covid is an excuse.
I mean how long does it take to actually decide relationship eligibility? just tell us yes or no.
Spend so much savings on this back forth trips that could of been used for something else. but why would they care.
Liberals govt is lying about 6k per month. Outland sponsership looks like will take many more months before getting any real update.
Is LVO part of that effort? I can’t really find the answer to this and the info on official website only says that the decision makers in Canada were increased by 66% which means cases in LVO will probably still be slowMendicino said boost Oct-Dec 6000 apps per month finalized - not feeling a boost yet
I don’t think they’re lying but people here (including me) were may be under wrong impression that LVO will also get additional decision makers to expedite the processing which might be incorrect
We'll keep monitoring tracker and FB and it will be obvious which area is being boosted Inland or Outland...or both...so far neither...
Like if Inland apps/MVO/OVO will be getting DM's across the board and us overseas kept on the back burner it will be obvious...
This is probably one of the hardest things for all of us to understand.
From my time on this forum, the two main things that seem to hold up applications are:
1. Background checks, particularly for applicants with extensive travel and work history in multiple countries. The more places you’ve lived and/or worked over six months the more digging IRCC has to do to verify all that info.
2. Genuine marriage. Having been on this forum for a while now, when I first joined I was initially surprised at how many people were applying to sponsor spouses they married very quickly within a few months and had barely spent any time together beforehand or are married without having spent much time together before or after marriage. Without a lot of solid proof of time spent together and a steady obvious progress of a relationship growing over time, it makes it more difficult for IRCC to determine how genuine the relationship is. This can unfortunately hold an application up in the system for a long time. It would be interesting to have a statistic on the average amount of time spent together for couples applying for sponsorship and an average of how many years they’ve known each other. Might shed a little light on some of the hold up.
