This is for Scotiabank (no idea abt other bank)

You should put your middle name along with first name.
GIC it does not allow spaces, put a dash (-)

note your bank name should also match your passport and instruct the bank to put your middle name on Given Name

example:
passport:
Given Name: Maria Juana
Middle Name: Santos
Surname: Dela Cruz

GIC - when you create use:
Given name: Maria-Juana-Santos
Surname: Dela Cruz

Did mine sa Metrobank pero with CIBC. In CIBC, there is an option to choose USD or CAD. I chose USD so from my Php account to USD to CIBC.

I just showed them the letter, filled out a form and done. Got confirmation from CIBC in less than 48 hrs.

Hi, I am now preparing wire transfer from Metrobank to Scotiabank. I already gave metrobank the instruction as received from scotiabank and still they are asking me to confirm what is the difference between item 56 & 57.

Based on the instructions provided by CIBC Swift Code is 56. The name and details of the bank is 57. But in the Metrobank form both 56 and 57 have swift code and bank details (no difference). My Metrobank branch crossed out 56 and they just told me to put the details in 57.

Not all branch are aware. I know PNB Shangrila and BDO Gil Puyat knows the procedure.
if in UAE, go to PNB Karama branch, they can assist you open an account and all.

I do not know where to start. I am in Singapore now and I have BDO account in PH. Pupunta lang po ba kami sa BDO Gil Puyat and tell na mag apply ng GIC?
Meron po bang form na ma fill up online or doon lang sa bank. Thank you in advance

I asked if I can make it from another branch but I was told by a friend also from the same bank but different branch that you can do the wire transfer only from the branch where you have your account. I couriered all my forms and signed documents. Hopefully, everything goes well soon.

Hello, im overseas as well , pwede ko pa ba e purchase ang GIC online or kailangan ko po ba dapat physicall nasa Pilipinas? I called metrobank and they told me po na dapat pagmag wire ng GIC need ung presence sa bank. Please please help . Salamat
