I have received AOR 1st of August.
My current work permit expires on 28th of October, next month.
I have just applied for BOWP.
Since they asked that you should apply within 4 months of your expiration, I figured approval was pretty fast.
I am seeing that people are saying that they have been waiting 6 months for approval?
I don't want to have to leave the country next month, or give up my job here.
In addition, in my rush to submit my application, I didn't attach my AOR to my letter.
How can I contact them as soon as possible to rectify this?

I have since used the web form to contact them to replace the document, and have sent to them the amended version.

That’s okay then. Mine is expiring same date. I applied for BOWP in June, no update yet, we will be on implied status after October if we don’t get our extension or PR by then. You can still legally work and remain in the count under implied status tho..

Hey, thanks for the response.

Can you explain the implied status part to me? A couple of people have mentioned that, but haven't explained how that works.

If you applied to extend your work permit before its expiration, you will be able to continue to live and work in Canada until a decision is made on your application.
