I applied for passport by certified courier to to Passport program, Gateau, QC, J8T8R1 ... but by tracking. it was delivered in Ottawa, and not in QC .... did you have same scenario ...also do receive any emails confirmation from the passport office... thank you

I had this experience but with Canada post. On checking with them they mentioned the mails are received at their Ottawa collection center and then sorted, transferred to Gatineau.
But for peace of mind you can call the passport customer care center and confirm the receipt.

Hi It will be better if your call passport customer care 1 800 567 6868 and ask them to confirm receipt of your application. I had a doubt about receipt of my application sent through Fedex. I insisted Customer care officer to check and confirm the receiving of application and she confirm the same date as per date given by Fedex.. Further my application was received by Gatineau office but original Citizenship certificate was sent from Richmond and place of issue of passport is shown as Richmond but I received my passport from Mississauga office.

thank you for your response .I just call this number & he told me that he didn't find my file in the system and that not mean they no receive file but it need may be 2 weeks or more to enter the system. please I would like to ask you weather your file was delivered in Quebec or Ottawa ( according Fedex tracking).

Hi It is fact that after charging your credit for passport application fees, the file is created automatically. But instead of asking for the status of your application please ask for confirmation of receipt of your application only. You insist them to check the record as system is centralized, therefore, it is immaterial that which office has received the application. I also requested the customer care to only verify the receipt of my application and told them that I am not worried about creating of my file.. Once they confirm date of receipt of your application, your worry is over and you will be getting passport with passage of fame.

Date Of Acknowledgment: 04-AUG-2020
Registration Status at Mission: TORONTO
Documents Printing Status PROCESSED On 25-AUG-2020
Dispatched From MEA (OCI ) NEW DELHI On 25-AUG-2020
Document received At TORONTO On 25-AUG-2020

• BLS offers a courier pickup and drop service through purolator. So you don't have to visit BLS center for applying. You can get the envelope from purolator as part of this and dont have to provide any return envelope. But if you want you may use your own

A Purolator Envelope is available at no extra cost from the Purolator courier." mentioned in the above page.

• Refer to the checklist for the list of documents in the below links for each application:

• If using the courier service you may pay by draft/money order. Debit card payment is available for walkin but not sure if credit card is allowed/available for online mode of payment. Below are the charges that I could find in BLS website.

OCI Fee + Consular Fee = CAD 425 Draft/money order payable to "The Consulate General of India - Toronto"​

Though the website states draft/money order to be made payable to BLS International Services Canada Inc. it does not mention the amount for Toronto jurisdiction. So its better you enquire with BLS directly and whether the pick up and drop needs to be done twice i.e 1 each for OCI and Surrender of passport respectively.​

Thank you very much. On contacting customer care of BLS today morning , BLS has generated four shipping lable of $30.70 each of Purolator. One is for pickup on 25th Sep2020 from my residence and balance three will be used, first for return of original documents (landing paper, original citizenship certificate and Indian Passport) second for sending OCI certificate and third for sending Passport surrender certificate. I have been advised to prepare two bank drafts . $425 for CGI Toronto and another $257.80 for surrender and BLS fees(7.4.+7.40). I wish that you should also receive your Canadian passport at the earliest and join us in getting OCI.

Hi Ihave enquired twice from BLS customer care and they confirmed that second bank draft of $257.80 be prepared in fa of BLS International Services Canada Inc.

try whatever number that starts with CAN. I never waited for anything. I just used that CAN number to check the status. When did you submit the application?

In my case the OCI registration number started from.CANT.............and for surrender of passport my registration started 20-00000 I have checked using above and got all details.

We can submit both on the same day. First give the surrender certificate and get it's receipt to attach to the OCI application. Not sure if it is all done at the same window/counter or there are separate for each process.

BLS Brampton is accepting walk-in so Toronto should also be doing it. But you never know. Let's wait for other's experience about Toronto.
