Yes if you gave biometrics for trv/work/student application in the last ten years then those will be counted. Otherwise we are supposed to give biometrics again for PR file even if we have given them for any other category as in my case spouse open work permit. Even though I received biometrics instructions letter on 9th of September 2020 but this exemption came into effect on 22 September 2020. So I am waiting for cic official mail to let us know what to do with that biometrics letter. May be they will update in our account that they are not required anymore as they already have it. Whatever be the scenario in coming days I ll keep you updated. Till then I believe as per the news that we are exempted. I hope it helps. Thank you.

In this context, I believe a TRV application is also an immigration application.

Contacted cic, they said they received my application on March 23. They assigned a temporary file number but has not started to process. When they start to process it thats when they will send the AOR. Just have continue wait.

Explains why many applicants have temporary numbers but, no movements on their file. They have been busy hiring, and that is very good news.
