Hello.. hoping I can get some help here. I emailed an attorney but they couldn't help me because of liability.
Here is our situation: My spouse and I both live in the USA. She is American and I am a Canadian Citizen with green card status in the US. We've been married for 12 years I am 42, she is 39. I would like to sponsor her so that we can both move to Canada. We have two children (5 and 8) together who were both born here in the US. I believe both are automatically Canadian citizens because they were born to me, a citizen. I will be applying for their Canadian citizenship certificates soon.
My question: We both plan to move to Canada, with our children when/if the sponsorship application is approved. How do I prove that I meet the financial requirements as a sponsor in Canada if I don't work or have an income in Canada? We both work in the US and earn a US income. Do I submit our income information from the US in that form IMM1283? We obviously both plan to get jobs and work as soon as we get there, if not before.
Thank you!
