My partner and I are planning on traveling for a year, staying in one country for the duration of 90 days on a tourist visa and then moving to the next. This means we will be staying in AirBnB and have no lease or formal rental agreements, can't get joint bank accounts, nor shared utility bills.

What are some ways we can prove our cohabitation? So far all we have thought of are copies of the flight tickets, Airbnb receipts, and keeping a photo album.

It is tough. All you can do is provide what documents you have but others have faced challenges because it is tough to prove that you are living together that whole time. At least you have a more consistent base for 90 days and not more frequent moves.

How about if we provide video and photo proof?

No video. You can provide photos but that doesn’t prove that you are living together and you can’t provide 365 pictures. Your flights, proof of AirBnBs and photos are the best you can do. Unlike those who can provide a lease, bills and proof of employment, travellers may go off and do things so they aren’t as likely to be living in the same place because they are also working. Nobody can guarantee whether you are likely to have issues proving common law or not. In general it is scrutinized much more than marriage and many are asked to provide more proof. Nobody can anticipate how much proof will be enough. You may not have any problems but it’s hard to tell. Were you living together before travelling?
