Hi,

My SOWP has been refused and belowis the reason.
I am not satisfied that you have sufficient funds, including income or assets, to carry out your stated purpose in coming to Canada or to maintain yourself while in Canada and to effect your departure.

I show almost 7000$ in my account and 4 lakh in my wife’s account.

any suggestions

Hi,

Have you represented Assets in documentation and is your wife pursuing Master's in University or College ?

Hi Manpreet ,

it happens many time that SOWP get refused because of 205c (ii). I have seen numerous cases and also get through them. Yes you can apply again and get throgh it. Before that needs to check whats your current status is.
actually i got enrolled for MAY 2020 intake but due to covid i defer to september 2020 and now will be taking my online classes from next month from India only as i will complete my 50% online here and rest 50% from january 2021 in person from Canada. so in this case i will land in Canada somewhere in December and at that time if i apply for my spouse SOWP then the permit which i hold and visa will about to expire in 3 months so i am confused now when to apply

should i apply now for my Spouse SOWP being here in India only or what should i do in my case i got no idea

You won’t qualify for an SOWP if you are studying from your home country. You also won’t qualify if there is less than 6 months left of your studies.

so as you said my spouse wont be qualify if there will be less than 6 months on my study permit. (TRUE)

but like the current processing time for SOWP is 147 days equals to 21 weeks from India so like if i apply on September 5, 2020 then the result will be out on Januray 27, 2020 after 147 days

and my visa is valid till April 2021 so in this case if i apply by september 2020 will there be a chances for rejection or approval? due to less time left on study permit because if he give me a decision somewhere in January then there will be only 3 months left for my study permit expiration.

any idea or suggestion from your experience

"case reviewed. applicant is applying for an OWP as a spouse of a SP holder. Spouse recently entered Canada to begin studies. Applicant provided the original acceptance letter, however, little to no documentation to confirm he is currently an active FT student (no report in compliance portal either). As such, I am not adequately satisfied the applicant has demonstrated spouse is currently actively engaged in FT studies. Refused."

are they asking for Proof of Enrolment?

because i am already in India only and they said recently entered Canada so in this case can i re-apply now or after landing in Canada.

because according to GCMS its stating that i can apply from india as well.

any advice?

I applied for my spouse and son with POE letter (May intake), I am also still in my home country. Visa was approved when I applied GCMS notes. Don’t give up!

Yes! I uploaded the letter of enrollment.
I applied for GCMS notes because the local VFS is closed so they are not issuing passport requests currently . I got his biometrics correspondence letter only. So I applied GCMS notes to see the decision

if you can describe me what documents you put up with your application then it will be easy for me to check on my documents whether i am applying with correct documents or not
