Hi, thanks for the reply! How and where would you update IRCC? Something that could be done online ? And would this child have any affect on our PR application?
It was done online, I guess the GC key profile. The child has no effect whatsoever on your PR app.

Hi guys, as a protected person in Canada and waiting for PR we just have had our newborn baby, has anyone here any experience what steps to take and do I have to update Immigration or not as he is considered a citizen but would he be able to get a passport already? Or we have to wait for our PR first? Please advise and stay safe everyone
Yes, you need to update IRCC you can call them tomorrow when they re-open or send a webform and they will send you the relevant information needed.

No, the child does not have any effect on your PR IRCC can still deny you or accept you as a PR

Yes, you can apply for a passport for the child he/she is a candian citizen.

Good Luck and congratulation on your baby. :):):)

Hi guys,
I applied for pr on January 2020 until now i didn't get AOR is this normal?
Unfortunately, yes this is normal because you normally would get an AoR after 3-4 months which would be in March April however the country did go into lock down at that time and still have not fully re-opened so you will get an AoR once IRCC has entered the information into the system. the good news is that an Application process begins when they receive it not when they upload it that may also change due to COVID -19 very uncertain at this point .

Good Luck & All the best

Thanks some times even if it makes sense to us having a conversation about it and confirming it gives us the peace of mind so thanks again✌

Hi, you do not need to update your profile. Hospital will gives you a package that shows you how you can apply online for birth certificate and sin number. As soon as you apply online , you will get birth certificate and sin number at same time and after that you can apply for passport.

I have a question
If i apply for asylum and parents have visitor visa and they visit me in Canada
Does that effect on my asylum case?
Second question
Are we allowed to travel outside after we get PR?

Hey Morning,

Yes, you can apply for asylum as a gay couple, you ask is is the right thing to do? i say do what is best for you however i think everyon here will tell you this process is LONG its is stressful is hurts its dressing it will make you wanna go crazy, the process is curretly 22 month for competition but there are people here waiting for 26 months and counting just to get PR and you cannot go back to your country until you become cnadian citizen, you can travel other countries but most will require a visa as you are not allowed to use your passport from the country you filed asylum.

now all that i explained is the process of PR not the aysym process you have to be a protected person b4 you can apply for PR.

i say just as i said to my friend last week , if you can do EE then do it because this refugee route is the worst and if you are not strong it will literally make you think the worst of life.

also yes they will ask why did you not apply b4 now but i am sure you will have a good answer for that so if that is the only reason you are doubting it then go for it. also b sure to have proof that your life is at risk if you return home, not general risk but you have been impacted by this your life is at risk ETC they do ot wanna see news paper articles they want to see things like people tried to hurt you, or messages from family member not accepting you police report you filed, pictures and videos of you doing gay stuff messages from same sex ETC it will not be easy.

First, you must have extensive Documentation on how your life is impossible in your country and your life is directly threatened. no newspapers, documentaries or other general material.

This MUST be specific police reports, doctors’ records etc. Then are you sure there is NOWHERE in your country where you will be safe. Also, Asylum is not for bad conditions, better schooling or medical care, or too few jobs or a pushy government. NONE of these will be accepted!! Finally, One way is to get to Canada and claim..., almost impossible. The other is to leave your country apply to the UNHCR as a refugee and wait. You may not be sent to Canada, however. Better to go to school get advanced degrees and diplomas and try that way. Very few, very, very few are accepted for Asylum.

I have a question
If i apply for asylum and parents have visitor visa and they visit me in Canada
Does that effect on my asylum case?
Second question
Are we allowed to travel outside after we get PR?

Yes, your parents can come if they have a visa but will not geta s second one if it expires until you are PR and it will not affect anything on your application if they visit you.

also you can start traveling once you are a protected person just get an RTD and then Visa for the country you are going to...

Good Luck @Sunny329
