I still can't believe it in 4 months it would be 2 years for me, I never thought that this process would be so cruel and unfair to us. I just pray that it all ends in the coming months.
I feel your pain this is insane . November 15,2018 applicant and still waiting for wife and son . I hope this nightmare ends for both of us soon . I never thought in a million years when you say 12 month timeframe it would take 21 or more . So frustrated .

Omg thats long I also feel your pain. What is the last update you receive from them?
The last was submitting our new sets of medical two weeks back for the second time. They already update it . Just awaiting ppr. basically I noticed a lot of us in here just awaiting ppr now. I do hope they start sharing this week itself.

Found this on the POS Trinidad Canadian FB page.

“We continue to process study permit, work permit and permanent residence applications submitted.“

We just got medical requests and pre arrival services email. Does this mean my interview will be waived or will the interview still be required?? A few weeks ago we got a message saying our application is in queue to determine if an interview is still necessary and today we got pre arrival services

It could still be required. We have seen cases where prearrival was received and they requested an interview a few weeks later

I really hope not. It seems strange to offer the services and make us pay another $1000 for new medical exams if they still intend to have an interview. If it were one of these two I would think maybe the interview is required but why make us do this and offer us the services if there is a possibility of a negative decision...

Our pre-arrival services letter was received on Jan 7/20 and we're still sitting here as they do background check. That is supposedly the only thing left, but who knows how long it will take from MVO.

When I inquired in early June about an extension to medical exam that expired on April 8/20, they said the immigration officer had recommended an extension but the decision wasn't up to him.

I know. Its tough but prearrival letter doesnt guarentee anything. The way this whole system works is nuts and there is no true consistency or markers for what to expect next. I hope in your case there is no need for an interview

We just got confirmation from Jenny Kwan...the NDP immigration critic that our application is approved and they decided to waive the interview.
This is a perfect example of how important the notes are. We sent additional information and explanations after seeing the reasons for our interview and they waived the interview ask together. Someone once said in this thread do not send additional information because it makes your application longer. Well I just saved God knows how many months because I sent additional information.
