Thank you so much for these information but I’m just wondering why they did not write beside the biometric is “passed “ like other applicants ppl
And also as I mentioned that they sent me the pre arrival letter on July1st 2020. Does it mean that I passed everything or not?
I just learned it says "passed" for other applicants? I thought everyones looked like mine and yours, and for medical it says "passed", but biometrics is different.

Hello everyone,
I’ve question about the biometric.
I did the biometric on September 4th,2019 but it doesn’t showing me that I pass the biometric.

like this:
  • Date Received: June 20, 2019
  • Biometrics:
    • Biometrics Number:*********
    • Date of Biometrics Enrolment:September 4, 2019
    • Expiry Date: September 4, 2029

    • On July 1st, I got the pre arrival letter
You cannot fail in biometrics, when you give your fingerprints it is done and valid for 10 years. "Passed" applies to medical not biometric and I believe everyone's profile is the same as yours, including mine

Thank you so much , I was wondering why I don’t have the word pass , I thought there is a problem in my biometric application and because of that my application process took longer than usual.
now, I feel more comfortable after you guys told me that you too have same my application.
Thanks again and I hope you guys get the visa soon

Hello friends,
Today we received both medical instructions (for the first time) and pre-arrival letter at the same time. Application received July 18, 2019.
Congrats but Wow for the medical instructions letter! They should’ve sent it months ago.

Yes, I think it was mainly because I am Quebec applicant and to the best of my knowledge they usually ask for medical exam after getting the approval of Quebec government which I received in February 2020 and almost right afterwards the processing stopped. I would like to think that they have eventually started working! but I won't be happy until one of you guys receives the visa. That is what matters

I think you only pass/fail the medical. Ours doesn't say passed for biometrics either. Nothing to worry about.

My wife's case is almost 7 months through and they never asked for biometrics yet. However 2 months after we applied they sent us the medical and we got that done. My point is, do not worry if your case is not similar than others. They have no particular order of dealing with applications. I believe all they are doing right now is to take care of cases that took longer than 12 months but sending visa right now must be debated in higher levels since most countries are dealing with the covid 19 horribly bad and canada is doing so well. So to some extend it is understandable but again its about families who have been separated for so long and im sure once they manage a better plan for newcomers then we shall be the first to get in line.
About the pre arrival. All i know is that once you receive it, it means you passed the eligibility assessment ( so no need for an interview or more supporting documents regarding your marriage) but the background and security check are separate things. They might still ask you to do police certificate again or something like that but once all of that is approved then u get a PPR.
My question for you guys who got your pre arrival letters, can you please tell us what has changed in your GCkey linked accounts? Do they mention that you passed eligibility assessment?

Nothing has changed for me except for the medical section. under biometric section it still says "if we need your biometric we will let you know"!
