I am on an open work permit and got the job offer exactly as you. I didn't send LMIA and got approved.
Thanks for your prompt response.

Did your employer advertise the job that you got hired before hiring you?
Also, did your employer presented the documents of advertisements related to your job position in the documents?

Thanks

Refer to the following information. You are ok because you have a valid work permit.
-----------------------------------------
Notice to employers supporting an application under this stream:

Employers must demonstrate that reasonable efforts were made to recruit a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident prior to offering the position to the applicant, unless:
  • the applicant already has a valid work permit to work in Ontario, or
  • the employer has a positive Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) for the position

Hello all,

I have applied under the OINP - Foreign worker stream and my job title is Architectural Technologist?
My first question is the website shows that this job title is a regulated profession, however, it says that the certificate may be required by some employers, so it means that people can have this tile and do not have a certificate from the regulator body.

My question is:
If I put it this title as my job title, then my employer should say that the job title is a regulated profession in employer form or they can say it is not?

Also, if they have to say yes to this question, then my application would be rejected, or do I still have a chance to get the nomination even if I do not have the certification from the regulated body?

I have a master of Architecture from another country and did the evaluation trough the WES here in Canada which shows that my degree is equivalent to Canadian master

Thanks for your response in advanced
As @Fonca said, you should ask an immigration lawyer but if your position requires certification, you have to provide it, otherwise, your application could be refused...

Adding: If you have the WES equivalation it does not means you can work as an Architectural Technologist in Canada. The Architectural guy here needs to have a kind of certification if I'm not wrong.

Again: Regulated jobs sometimes need a lawyer or a lot of reading..

No, he did not advertise the job... I was already working for them one year before the application. We didn't send anything about recruiting

When submitting your OINP application, did anyone encounter delays getting documentation that would have affected the 14 day deadline? I'm unsure if my employer will be able to complete the form in time due to the long weekend etc.

Hello all,

I have two questions about the job offer and hourly wage in the job offer.

1. How long after getting a job offer is possible to apply through a foreign Worker stream?

2. I got a job offer from my employer on March 01, 2019, and my hourly wage was 20$ which is lower than the median wage based on the Canada Job Bank website. My hourly wage has increased to 27$ since the first of this month and it is higher than the median wage NOW.
So, does the hourly wage of my job offer should be higher than the median wage as well or my employer can add an update letter to my job offer and explains that my hourly wage has increased to 27$ from July 01, 2020?

Finally, do I need to get a new job offer or just attache a confirmation letter to the job offer mentioned that the job offer is valid and my new hourly wage would be higher than the median wage?

Best regards,

You need to wait for the stream to open before you can submit an application to apply. The stream opened last Tuesday and at this rate, probably will not open again this year. Note that the stream is in high demand and the allocation was filled in minutes. I would not count on this stream if this is your only avenue to PR - look into EE CEC.

When you apply, the application guide asks for specifics on the job offer documentation. In short, you'll be able to submit your original job offer if it meets the requirements, and any follow up documentation outlining changes to your role.

So in my case, can I apply for this program based on my job offer and updated documents about my hourly wage or not?

I mean the documentation requirements are pretty clear - if you meet the requirements and you have the documentation to prove it, then yes.

Thanks for your answer. I just need to know that am I qualified to apply for this program or not based on the question that I asked about my hourly wage?
Anyway thanks for your answer

My case was exactly the same.
You have to meet at least the median salary for your NOC, If your wage is more than the median, it doesn't matter.
You have to attach the original job offer with the salary of 20 from March 2019 signed up that date. And another letter with the current date explaining from when up to when you gained 20 and that then you had a raise. This second letter should explain your history working there, your hours of work, job title, NOC, duties, etc and that you will continue working permanently. I have the models, if you want give me your email and I sent them

Hi,

I am applying for Employer Job offer: Foreign Worker Stream. I have a small issue. I already had a job offer from early 2020, so my employer gave me an employment confirmation letter to support OINP but he forgot to put “$” in front of my annual salary.

What do you suggest guys should i proceed with it because my job offer is ok its just the employment confirmation that has this error. I have already bothered my employer quite a bit for other things like employer form, so i am hesitant to bother him again.
