Sending by mail - Question

I sent my application by mail instead of courier. I have a tracking number provided my my country's post company. The application left my country on July 9th and once it arrives in Canada, it's Canada Post responsibility. How was you experience with mail and did you get a notification once it was delivered?
It's been 11 days since it left my country and I'm yet to be notified of arrival in Canada.

It depends on whether or not the mail service you selected in your home country includes tracking in Canada. If it does, you'll get updates. If it doesn't, it'll be a mystery, unfortunately.

Where did you send it from and what method, priority, airmail or just standard mail? From many Asian countries it can be up to a month for regular post without considering Covid. Depending on your method of shipping it could take quite some time.

This is not surprising. It takes a long time (sometimes months) for regular mail to reach Canada, then weeks to actually get through customs and get to IRCC. Courier is almost always best - unfortunately you now just have to wait.

Priority by air. It goes directly from Portugal to Canada. They said it would take between 10 to 20 days because of Covid. Usually takes 5-6 days. I hope it gets there soon

I wouldn't get too excited or worried about it yet. Give it a month, with covid, even them saying 20 days could be optimistic.
