I don't know why but your comment made me really happy. I am just trying to remain positive under the present circumstances. After going for multiple things to bolster my scores and wasting money on a consultant, I still feel Canada is a distant dream. Spoke with a student consultant as I feel getting a one-year degree might help or maybe learning French. I started studying a few days back and banging my head with the thought of grasping this beautiful yet tough language. I had a talk with a youtuber today (they run this service of paid calls) and he was also negative of scores dropping any time soon. I am just praying that atleast the paperwork gets over after people in the 460s get their ITAs. I really hope that in a few draws we will get an ITA. Thanks again for the through comment. I am praying this gets true. haha ! :)
What's your CRS score? Maybe you get it in the next couple draws

I am at 468, buddy. What about you ?
I'm at 478, missed last week's draw because of the February cut off. Hopefully they continue all programs draw, I should have a good shot in the next one.
468 is a competitive score, I believe you have very nice chances to get it by September if they continue the all programs draw! Apperently, looks like market trends suggest that not many people are getting into the pool because issues with IELTS and ECA. I think a cut off CRS will go down until ECA and IELTS services get up to speed, which looks will be well into this year.

Wow ! All the very best. You will definitely get it in the coming draw.
I truly wish that prediction is true. As I have been in the pool since October 2019 and no positive news has been coming. I seriously wish that the current numbers remain constant and people in their 450s and 460s get a fair chance.
:) Have a great day !

Any guess if ON will have a tech draw anytime soon?
If they conduct a draw, it will be on a Friday before a draw (or a Friday 10 days after a draw, depending on how you want to calculate). Someone mentioned a tech draw would likely be conducted in July or August.

The cut-off will go a long way down from 478 in the next few draws at least. In my opinion, we won't see 478 cut-off in a long time. Before covid-19, the immigration rate was in a healthy range, resulting in 470s cut-off. However, the pandemic has destroyed many aspects of life and I doubt will ever experience such healthy sources of candidates again.

My hypothesis is that people will consider migration even more strongly due to the pandemic. It has been a stark reflection of how important healthcare is, how poorly most countries are equipped for it and so on. Relatively, many people will place a greater value on quality of life than on earning potential - which was one big barrier for many highly qualified professionals to migrate from countries like India to Canada.

The score might well drop to the 460s in the near future thanks to the slow inflow into the pool, but once things settle down, I’ll be very surprised to see the steady state score being lower than 470-472 as it was before the pandemic.

You will get ITA in next 2-3 draws. Very very high chances. Consultant lawyers are bunch of bs. They dont know anything more than us. So confidently you can ignore them.

Cool, so of they do this month, it should be this Friday. I think I can get a OINP because of the human capital stream, how long do I have before I have to accept it? I think I will get the federal nomination in a week from today.
My understanding is that Canada fees for PR are around 1,300 CAD, but I would need to add close to 1,000 CAD for OINP, correct?

I totally agree with that. I’m one of these guys who became even more determined to immigrate after seeing the stark contrast between my country (Brazil) and Canada during the pandemic.

COVID will destroy many economies, and many people who has very good and well paying jobs will be fired, with no other option if not to downgrade theirs careers in their home countries, because of high unemployment rates. Yet, these people will have sufficient amounts of money to immigrate.
The world post COVID will certainly attract MORE people to Canada, not the opposite.

I believe this as well, but as long as covid doesn't go away, or there is some sort of cure, vaccine, etc., I find it hard to believe that scores will soar anytime soon.
Remember that something around ~50% of ITAs are given to India, and according to what I have read here, they are struggling to get into the IELTS testing, plus I think is harder for them to get the ECA with the current situation.
People who are currently in the pool with 460+, and those who can get IELTS and ECA quickly, can also a good shot.
Just my thoughts
