I wish we could what % of these kinds of 2021, 2022!! commenters have already received their ITA or what % are high-strung people who are waiting for their ITA
I think we have wasted our precious Money and time and energy on this...Guys, these are the 2 diffrnt replies frm twitter handle recently. One seems positive and another seems like, go find another way to come to Canada....
What will happen?
These are generic response - nothing good nor bad.. IRCC handlers have limited information to start with. Both the response seems to be valid- that they don't want to speculate on future rounds as they do not have authority and processing for someone getting an ITA now will take more than 6 months considering the backlog.Guys, these are the 2 diffrnt replies frm twitter handle recently. Let's just keep our hopes high and ignore the ones who have migrated to this forum to pull others down. Let IRCC confirm the dates.
Because decision is related to airport. and i think 15 to 21 July airport will be opening. just cool and wait for the next 2-3 weeks
IRCC just released its annual report to show the demographics of who got ITAs in 2019. It’s an interesting read to see which NOCs got invited the most, EE program distribution, nationalities, age range, etc. I think one glaring reason that the CRS scores shoot up towards the end of 2019 is the number of ITAs that were issued, IRCC was limiting the ITAs to 3600 or lesser every draw. As compared to this year where it’s always 3900 ITAs (CEC + PNP) every other week. So hoping they’ll continue issuing 3900 ITAs once all program draws resume.

Some are predicting FSW might show up from July, as many lawyers and immigration advisors were in talks to not go ahead with this and making the cut-off to drop to 420s or lesser than this (read it from some website three days but unable to trace it now).
Cos Canada cannot really afford to keep the border closed for the rest of this year.
Coming from the top 1 country of COVID cases or the least one, the virus is still a virus. Even a person coming from New Zealand has the same capacity to spread it to others as a person coming from the US or Brazil. There's gonna be an effective screen from the home country, and once you reach Canada you will be put into quarantine and this itself will filter out COVID patients 90 percent.
Plus many drugs such as Remdesivir, Dexamethasone, Favipiravir, HCQ are all able to reduce fatalities and recover a lot of people and are major players now. Many countries are now open to BAU (Businesses As usual) and Tourism (with no compromise in medical checks) realizing that nothing is moving ahead with lockdowns and Canada too might follow suit.
Let's see what Trudeau is gonna tell tomo to the audience. Extremely eager to watch him telling Canada will gradually open its borders by July.

It's all pointless to me, you could come from a country with a lot of cases and not have it, you could come from a country with a low number of cases and have it.
I would just suggest that they test you for covid before you are due to fly, and they can add the expense to your settlement costs.
If the EU is opening up to international travellers, and their countries were among the hardest hit, it just means the virus is no longer a problem which cannot be handled, because they have already flattened the curve significantly.
Also remember Canadians and PRs can travel freely from Canada as it is.
Why would you be afraid of people who would not be landing until at least 6 months after they submit their AOR?
Make it a year if you want, just let them compete in the pool.
Gents, I'm kind of panicking. I will receive my official grad degree in mid october 2020, which is when I can apply for FSWP. My PGWP wil alsol only be valid until mid september 2021. I don't qualify for CEC or PNP unfortunately, so I'm waiting for the FSWP to open back up.
My score will be exactly 480 once I receive my degree, which I'm not worried about. I'm mainly worried about the increase in processing time. AFAIK, it used to be 6-7 months at most. Now 6 months is the minimum.
Someone please set me straight here, am I panicking over nothing? Is 11 months plenty of time for my PR to be processed and issued?
The reason I'm worried is because I have a car, furniture and a girfriend here that I don't want to leave behind if any unexpected delays do happen

Overwhelming number of applicants are from India. Totally makes sense. Crazy to see the actual numbers.
