Have you received the TEST yet? I have the same In Process date as yours, however, I haven't heard anything after. Please update your status. Thanks

I applied in June 2019 and got the test in late February. The oath ceremony was supposed to be Mar 28 but cancelled. I hope the virtual ceremony will be soon.

That’s great.. I wonder what will happen to people waiting for a test date.. I applied in June 2019 in progress since October.. I understand that the pandemic happened and things are crazy now.. I guess we should just wait and see what happens

Canada’s federal government said it will start “to implement virtual citizenship ceremonies […] as quickly as possible.”

The first online ceremonies will be available to those who “have a pressing need for Canadian citizenship” as well as those who had previously been scheduled to take the oath in person and whose events were cancelled due to special measures that were implemented to prevent the spread of COVID-19

I know this is bit odd to ask this question here but as I need answers from those members who have already applied so that's why I am asking here. Please let me know if online version of Dubai Police Clearance certificate is suffice or I need to get the original letter through UAE embassy? Input from members who have already submitted online certificate will be highly appreciated.

74 years old? I will be very lucky if i will reach 70 years..Congrats grandma!

It was announced June 11 that the Canadian Citizenship Process is being completely revamped to be more Covid appropriate. They will eliminate paper applications, and in person testing. It is a 'massive' overhaul.' The Citizenship ceremonies are already converting to electronic rather than in person gatherings. They are staring to process ceremonies for those who have completed the test.

Stay tuned to this evolving story. I personally suspect the new process will be operational by August. That would mean a 6 month delay to the processing from the original plans.

Solicitation is being issued to satisfy the requirement of Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC)] (the "Client") for Task-Based Informatics Professional Services (TBIPS) under the TBIPS Supply Arrangement (SA) method of supply.

This requirement is for the provision of Informatics professional services to rapidly develop and implement digital solutions and supporting technologies in response to the emergency situation created by COVID-19. The Contractor(s) will bring knowledge, capabilities, and experience to support CICs response to the COVID-19 situation.

CIC needs to act quickly to develop updated and new strategies; and processes and digital systems to cope with the rapid change it is undergoing. These include updating systems and processes for internal staff, partner organizations and re-thinking and re-designing how CIC provides its services to its clients within Canada and around the world, leveraging digital processes wherever possible thus minimizing the need for in-person interaction or paper-processes for the safety of CICs staff, our clients and community.
