Is this the common message in account after completing 100% , whether all who completed 100% has same message as below ?

"About 20% of our applications are more complex to process. They take us longer due to things like how easily we can verify information, how well and how quickly you answer our requests and whether the application is complete"

I contacted IRCC via the webform for an update on my application and got the following in return, what does this mean?

Good day Hilton Katie,

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

You will find below useful information that we hope will help understand the process and current status of your application for permanent residence:

  • The eligibility review is valid.
  • The security background verification is valid.
  • The criminal background verification is valid.
Furthermore, we verified the information you provided and can confirm that your file is currently located at the Central Intake Office – Sydney, Nova Scotia.
Hello Katie what was your application status showing before you called ircc ?

I got ADR on April 30, then submitted on May-07.

Still waiting for the updates.
I feel you man :(....Since you are inland and already passed 6 months processing time, quickly get a copy of GCMS notes as well as raise webform and call IRCC and show your urgency...Hopefully, that will move the process faster for you. Good luck!

Hi Katie,

Same response that I received too. It more or less means that we have passed everything required, but we probably won't hear anything about PR until they have arranged how & when we can land in Canada. Its frustrating, but at the same time good too, as we should be fine to receive PR as soon as this happens.
I wish they'd find a way of doing landing for us without having to go to Canada. My husband has just lost his job so money is going to be tight for a little while, although i'm seeing it as a sign we should move sooner rather than later, but it would be nice to have the burden of having to land by a certain date taken off our shoulders.

I wonder what the nursing situation will be like in Calgary when we arrive, I haven't looked lately to see if they have any jobs. I'm maternity or neonatal so trying to find a job in those areas in sometimes tough because they're so in demand.

Yesterday, I got CoPR without visa. Mine work permit was renewed recently but didn't apply for Visa as I was not travelling outside of Canada(Although Last time in 2018 I got workpermit and visa as well). So there is no need to worry about.
Good luck for your application.
Thank you for your response!

I have heard that files move from CIO to CPC during the PR process. From your message it seems to be the other way around. Does CIO finalize the application?

Oh no I'm so sorry to hear this, as if the current pandemic wasn't stressful enough :( Yes, I agree it would be great if they arranged something like that for us, but I very much doubt it. One can hope though!

Hmm maybe it is a sign to move sooner rather than later!! There are minimal flights from Australia at the moment and we wouldn't be able to fly direct which is a bit of a pain. Plus of course they are only allowing people who have been granted PR before March 18th to enter, so I won't be going anywhere soon. Hopefully as soon as this changes then we'll receive PR.

I'm presuming that you have your CARNA nurse licence already? I haven't been looking to much at jobs either, I haven't seen the point. Once I receive PR then I'll start again. I'm a general trained RN, however I have my masters and specialisation in Mental Health. Previously they seemed to have lots of job opportunities in this area of nursing.

We verified the information on file and can confirm that:

  • The background verifications are currently valid.
  • The security background verification is currently valid.
  • The criminal background verification is currently valid.
  • Your application is currently being processed at the Case Processing Centre in Ottawa, Ontario.
While the processing times may vary with each case, we will make all the necessary efforts to finalize your application as soon as possible.

Rest assured that you will be informed as soon as a decision is reached or if additional information is needed.

What does it mean? I don't know why they didn't comment on my eligibility (Here is what I asked: Could you please inform me about the current status of my eligibility, security, background check, and criminality and about the name of the responsible visa office?).

I applied as CEC Inland (Nov 17) but have moved to the U.S. in the meantime. My plan was only to stay in the U.S. for 6 months. Does that make my application Outland?
