i was deported back in 2012 to my origin country colombia. Because I had some charges of theft under 100 dollars I need to know if I can apply for a visato Canada. I’m currently enrolled in college I’m almost done with my studies and I want to move to Canada to work on my field (computer engineering)

Since you were deported, it's highly unlikely you will qualify for any temporary visa like a visitor visa, work permit or study permit.

If you want to move to Canada, you will need to apply to immigrate. Details here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/index.asp

You can apply, getting approved is a whole different thing. Even if you don't disclose it which you should, they'll find out since they do have agreements with the US to share this sort of information.

And most likely, not to say with absolute certainty, you won't be getting any sort of visa approved.

Sorry!

i went usa in student visa, i was deported from usa in 2013 ,due to violation of student visa. Violation in a sense , i stop going to school and became out of status. I had a bail amount 10k usd , but i refused to pay and told them to deport me. So they deport me in 2013, no criminal charges or any conviction. Year 2017 i applied visitor visa for usa from my home country, since my parents live in usa. They saw my records of deportation and told me ,its very hard to get any visa ,since iam deported. But, they did mentioned that my ban for 5 years is over .2018 my parents filed a family based greencard, iam waiting on that, and iam not sure if my deportation will harm the greencard processiing. Now i am thinking to apply canada in student visa. Can anyone please let me know, how will the deportation from usa in 2013, will hurt my visa chance to canada. I just want to go canada for my study and if my usa processing get approved ,i will move back to usa.

Yes - the fact you were deported from the U.S. will hurt your chances of getting a study permit for Canada and make it very difficult to be approved.

I would recommend that you wait until your U.S. green card is approved before you try to apply for a study permit to Canada.
