1. POF as a form of gift deed should only come from family member and you should show their bank statement prior to transfer of money.
2. Yes, you need to apply to Labour Market Priority stream using the website of NS..
Is it stated anywhere that the POF if as a gift deed has to be only from family members because I'm getting conflicted messages without any official source.
Some are saying that it can be from anyone as long as there is a gift deed and it is explained in the LoE. I also plan on attaching the bank statement of the person sending the money to prove that the person has sufficient funds to be financially stable after sending the money as gift deed, hence will not be needing the gift deed money back in case that's the worry of the immigration officer.

As what I have seen in many forums and as what my immigration agent told us, gift deed are usually from family members as a form of support/love for you..you can always use an LOE for your advantage if you think that you need to further explain things...if money was from other people/non-family member then definitely LOE would be necessary and helpful to explain why a non-family member will gave you such amount of money.. we are just avoiding red flag and as much as possible not to let the officer ask for further documents as to why non-family member will give you money...if you can justify the source of the money with further supporting documents then that would be nice and fine..as we have known POF should not be borrowed from others nor came from any loan..any lump sum of money on the account must always have an LOE.

I understand but if we can explain in the LOE that the funds are from the fiance, from his savings (not from a loan or borrowed), he's financially stable after sending the funds, has a job and will not be asking back for the money since it's to help me settle in Nova Scotia then would that still raise a red flag because that is the truth and I'm not sure how else to support it. There will be the gift deed, bank statement of the fiance and the LOE explaining all of that.

If father will give me our proof of funds will they question it?
Yes, in a form of gift deed but large portion of the POF must came from the applicant/spouse..gift deed is just a sustaining amount and not comprises the whole or half of the POF itself..

As previously been said, if you can justify it with supporting documents like what you have mentioned, then it's fine. Huge amount/portion of the POF must also came from the applicant themselves, gift deed is just an added amount usually not more than half of the POF..

Really? If my family and the family of my husband will give half half of the POF would that be a problem? Since we dont earn enough money.

You mean to say that all POF will come from both families? I haven't seen and read a case like that but as much as I know, POF should be 6 months in the account and lump sum amount needs an LOE.. we want to avoid any doubts on the part of the IO processing the papers..

Hi everyone,

For those of you who were in the last October 2019, NOC 3012 draw, I hope you can help me out here. I received an LOI from NS and I was just over the moon! I meet all the criteria except for the 3yrs experience. August 6 will be 3years for me. The only reason why I was given an LOI is because Express Entry rounded off my work experience to 3yrs (when I submitted my profile in Mar, my exp was 2yrs 7mths. Now it is almost 2yrs 10months. By the time I meet the deadline of July 22, I will still be 2 weeks short of experience. I really really really don't want to miss this opportunity. Anyone else here with such an experience? If yes, what did you do? Did you still go ahead to submit a PNP application?

Our immigration agent suggest us before about the gift deed just in case we got invitation from any province..our express entry was about to expire when we got an LOI from NS and luckily that time we have also almost completed our POF which we have saved for almost a year..our POF came from our salaries and we deposited it in my other bank account apart from my salary account where we have shown the bank statement for 6 months...we didn't use any gift deed..
