From the perspective of the labour force and job market, I think it makes no sense for new foreign workers to come to Canada in the near future. Now I know this is an unpopular opinion but hear me out.
Canada and the rest of the world is gearing up for a recession. There's already tens of thousands of job loses in Canada due to people being laid off. The federal and provincial governments are supporting millions already who have lost their jobs. Billions of dollars are allocated to support small and medium businesses who have suffered from loss of business and aid to keep employees on pay role.

In a crisis like this, the government is trying to support the workers already in Canada. Bringing more people to an already strained labour market means the government will have to support the new comers to integrate into a more difficult economic climate. If these new comers don't succeed in getting suitable jobs, they have to be financially supported as well. Plus create even more competion for the remaining what ever amount of jobs.

Now I'm not saying this crisis will go forever. Actually one does not know how things will pan out. But from the government perspective, it makes sense that they will try to mitigate the risks as much as possible.

An important detail I read today, we have currently surpass 8 million application for CERB (the benefit for those who lost income due to Covid). That means 50% of the labor force. If the economy does not open this summer, it will be a disaster, mark my word. Apart from those lucky ones who work for the government, lol

Point noted, but also not sure about the percentage, but unfortunately a part of the 8 million claims are fraudulant. All claims are approved so people are taking advantage. verification will happen only later and given the high number of claims, not sure how many of the claims can actually be reviewed satisfactorily.

Point still stands that there are alot of effected people in Canada because of being laid off. Which directly leads to further questions on the job front and the foreseeable future in which the government will have to support a large fraction of the population to help make their ends meet.

It can happen in the next 5-6 hours like recent draws.
Most draws seems to be in the morning. I can't really find many draws this year after 6pm UTC. Which I think is 1pm eastern time. Though it happens sometimes

Edit:changes the text from any to many as I found a few cases of later draws. But the vast majority happens in the morning

OINP just issued NOI's to French speakers between 432 and 454. Looks like CEC only to me as maximum CRS is 454 which is the recent cut off. If another CEC only draw happens, won't some of these NOI's be wasted?

No, no actually it is pretty unlikely to happen in May, i am here in Toronto and knows how things are going on, all the colleges and universities are closed till May 31st, all government organizations are closed until further notice, we still having highest number of deaths and positive cases, May is too early for this prediction, at least i will say, in mid june or early july, we will start to see some restrictions lifting off and FSW getting back in game
It doesn't mean if there is a fws draw, the next day people will start coming to Canada..of course we have to wait until restrictions are lifted and in the meantime IRCC are processing the applications, that's my point of view.. Just wait and watch

This delayed draw is giving me false hopes of a FSW draw although all trends till now have proved otherwise.
