I would appreciate your guidance on the following situation regarding OINP and Express Entry.
An individual applied for Ontario’s Provincial Nominee Program (OINP) in August 2024, and the application is currently at the “Decision in Progress” stage.
The current IELTS will expire at the end of February 2026.
The Express Entry (EE) profile will expire in March 2026.
The individual has already retaken IELTS, and the new scores increase the CRS to 450.
At the time of receiving the OINP invitation, the CRS was 404, and the draw range was 395–444.
Given this situation, I would like to ask:
1. Should the new IELTS results be updated in the EE profile now, or should they be added only after the current IELTS expires?
2. If the individual does not receive the OINP nomination before the current IELTS expires, will it be necessary to update the new IELTS scores and recreate the EE profile?
3. Could updating the IELTS score now impact the ongoing OINP application in any way, considering the CRS is now higher than the original draw range?
