Have you received AOR, do you know where your file is now? You could try calling but they usually don't give out much information if you get to speak to somebody. You should consider requesting GCMS notes, might be the only way to find out what is happening.

2 Dec applicants and 3 others got DM today from Manila VO so there is some movement out there.
Not really, as India has lockdown that I am guessing will take forever. I will have an opportunity coming to speak to Immigration Minister of Canada Mr.Marco this Sunday so I will ask him to support to let the spouse visit for a couple of months during this uncertain lockdown COVID-19 difficult and really painful time for all spouse who has already done their Bio and Medical done already! what else do you think, please let me know I am a sponsored spouse having an opportunity to talk to Immigration Minister Mr.Marco Mendicino

Wow that’s awesome! Maybe also ask him what his plan is with the backlog this has created

Do you mean like Outland applicant spouses who's sponsors got SA and passed Bio and Medicals to be granted TRV (6 month stay visa) ?
Yes, exactly I mean that as PA's country under lockdown for how long? No one can tell. Even if IRCC grant 2 years multiple entry visa that spouse can stay for maximum 3 months in their each visit

please tell him about the backlog in India. it is not only about December applicants. there are people who haven't seen any movement since last April/May!! on top of it, the Covid situation is going to make it even more of a delay. I have two darling boys I haven't seen in 9 months now and it's killing me especially since I now I have a lot more of time on my hands because even working to forget is not an option.

P.S I am sure there are many of you for whom it has been maybe a year or more since you saw your loved ones. I was just stating my case and frustration!

In the alternative to aTRV visa for spouse, another suggestion to consider granting "conditional" permanent residence to those who are approved SA and got Bio/Medicals passed. The condition would be to live with your spouse in Canada while processing PR application as Inland. That would ease the backlog burden and spouses can be reunited quicker.
awesome idea. lesser processing time where children are involved too would be a good idea.

I think a 6 month multiple entry visa to those who passes SA/Med/Bio, would be a great question to suggest to the Minister.
My spouse's country is currently under lockdown but measures will soon start to ease and pretty sure that air travel will resume by June/July if the virus situation keeps improving worldwide.

May I ask the circumstances that you get to speak to our Minister of Immigration? This is not an April Fool's joke ? ;-))))))
I was thinking for 6 months but as per WHO COVID-19 could be re attac again so, if that happen then ?

There is lots of creative thinking here and I wish you luck with making your proposal. But I don't think any of it will happen. There is a reason that they won't issue TRV's in most cases after an app is in progress, a lot of people would try to remain in Canada under dual intent.
