It took one minute and the lady asked if we are currently residing in Canada or not. Then said your landing process is complete and you will receive an email from me today with a letter confirming permanent residency. I was on WP visa.
hi what is your visa office? When did you receive your copr?

It is too early to ask for an extension for September expiry date. You are also in the US and there are no travel restrictions so you’d be expected to land.

as per @prusa post:

Guys - after much wait I was able to connect to an IRCC agent and I have some news for the folks in USA.

I asked about inability to travel and she said our policy is when you can come you should come.

She said per current travel restrictions, since your COPR was approved before March 18 you are exempt to come in and because you are in USA so there are no travel restrictions of travel from USA to Canada. So for you I would say you can come and you should come before your COPR expires.

I did say about the risk of virus and all, but she was adamant that there are no restrictions for your travel and you should come.

So.. I guess this is a clear answer for anyone where the home country has no lockdown.
I wouldn't ask for an extension yet...just alert them of the situation. It is completely impossible to even plan a move right now with all the restrictions.

We just received CoPRs today and the approval date is Mar 12. According to the travel restriction exemption, I think we should be able to land at border. However, the problem is to do a flagpole landing, we need to cross US custom first. Does any one do flag pole landing these days? Does US official allows that? We have valid US visas (L1 and L2).
Can you tell me when you sent you passport? We sent our passport after passport request on 10th March still didn’t receive it or COPR.

Hi,

I am in the same situation as you. I sent my PP to Ottawa for PR stamping on March 12. They have received my PP but no news after that. No updates and no return tracking activated. Do you have any news?
Hi I am in the same boat. Sent my passport on Martha’s 10th. Tracking is not activated. I’m really worried about my passport.

It was September 9, 2020.
Good luck to all.
Congratulations! I also received my CoPR March 12th via mail, and I sent a webform to book a landing appointment on March 26 but I only received "all landing appointments have been cancelled" kind of reply.

Now, I raised a second webform to book another landing appointment and hopefully this time, I also get a telephone interview in order to validate my landing process (fingers crossed). :)

Thank you, @ambq91, for sharing your experience! Would you mind giving more details about the landing phone interview? Also, were you on a WP, PGWP, visitor visa?
Based on your timeline, I might get a phone interview anytime now.
Thank you!
Hi, please update if you receive a phone interview. We're on the same boat.

The Migration Health Branch will continuously identify all applications where the applicant is residing abroad and their medical results will expire in the coming 4 to 8 weeks. Identified applications with an original M1 or M3 decision will be proactively reassessed for an additional 6 months. Should any applications that have not already been reassessed come to the attention of processing officers, officers are instructed to contact the Migration Health Branch with the following instructions:

That is unrelated to covid. If your medical is about to expire they give you an extra 6 months instead of saying you must land in 4 weeks.
