At the beginning of 2020 Canada set a goal to welcome over 300k immigrants so I'm curious if only CEC and PNP draw continues I'm not sure they can reach that number. Should we assume their goal changed?
This goal was set before the pandemic I think we have to wait at new confirmation target later this year. Due to COVID19 probably priorities for Canadian immigration objectives might be changed a little bit.

As someone explained The PNP certificate expire in 6 months. So, they have to go-ahead with PNP also remember that at the beginning of the year they announced a focus on provincial nominate.

And CEC mostly their education is Canadian diploma/degree they do not depend on companies who certified Canadian education equivalency and they required less documents that FSW is easier for then to go ahead with CEC.

Also, remember that CEC inside Canada has an expiration date for their work permit, they need to proceed with this people before the work permit expire or due to this it will be an increases on extended work permit applications. That’s what I believe.

The good news is they are cleaning the Pool. So Onces FSW take place again Score will definitely go down as less candidate are in the pool.
Good points. But I heard IELTS just launched online test , so many people might still be able to enter the pool soon .

Thats right. No IELTS booking for now, you can check that on your local british council website. Though WES is still open but may cause delay during the whole process due to the current situation. It says this at its website.

Even for the online test, you have to go to their centres. It is a digital test, not exactly an online test. Only medium of input changes.

What a time to be a CEC applicant!!
Low cutoff, the first ever back to back draw of the year and even more reliefs packages (CERB).
congrats yah all.now we await the 10th draw of the year which is usually the FST draw . We might just see a cutoff of 250

Need some help senior members

I got my WES done in 2019 which says Bachelors Degree (4 years)

Now I need to add another credential of my 1.5 year Bachelors. What are the steps ?

1. I checked online at WES and it is starting my new profile with a course by course evaluation. Is this okay for Immigration ? I am confused

2. Also, do I need to send all of my previous documents again like my secondary school certificates and Bachelors ?

3. What will be the fee and time frame of this evaluation ?

Congratulations to all the CEC and PNP applicants eligible for yesterday's day. I know a lot of CEC candidates with 455/456 were waiting from last may so it must be a great relief for them. :)

1. Start a new application and be sure to select IRCC ECA for immigration only and not anything else.

2. You need to send your previous Bachelor documents again along with the new ones.

3. The fee will be less for an upgrade. Timelines for WES before the pandemic were 2-3 months if no verification is needed from the educational institution otherwise, it was 3-5 months if verification is required.

Yeah but bad business for PNP as many applicants are already withdrawing their applications from these PNP and RNIP since they can now get ITA with low scores

There was video on the same 6 days before the lockdown.

Point 1 and 3 clear

For point 2, should I enter all my previous certificates and degree in the WES online application or just the new credential ?

Request for an update for your profile and you will be given a reference number to add additional documents. You don’t need to start all over again

Yup. From 474 i will go down to 469. In a week.
Welcome to the 469 club lol. If your NOC belongs to OINP Tech draw, keep an eye on that. Maybe OINP will conduct two big Tech draws like last year in July/August or towards the end of the year where they gave out 3500+ NOI's in two weeks, we might receive a NOI from them. On the other hand, if a FSW draw happens before IELTS and ECA services are resumed, we might get through as there are not many candidates with 471+ currently score in the pool.
