I submitted my application with letter of xplanation saying no medical submit as panel physicians have been stopped by IRCC to do upfront medicals the tests will be done in due course once situation gets back to normal and panel physicians start giving appointment
Indeed you will be able to do the test once CIC submit the IME 1017E report to your account.

Are you guys sure that the medicals have been cancelled? Someone I know got his ITA a few days ago and was able to schedule an appointment for this week.

He lives in the GTA.
Can you ask where he did the test and share to us? Thanks

You don't get IME 1017E if you don't submit the application. IRCC knows what's going on, they are the ones who ceased the upfront medical exams.
How did you confirm that we have to submit the application in order to get the IME 1017E?

Hi Members.
I have read some comments where people are suggesting to submit the application without Upfront Medical Exam..
1) If the IRCC is giving us additional 30 days to complete our documents before submitting application, do we still need to submit incomplete application with the LOE?
2) Even in The Web Forum Enquiries, they say that they will not respond to queries if the application submission deadline is not passed yet. So Is it still OK to go ahead with incomplete application?

So, Isn't it better to wait for the deadline and if we are still unable to have our medical exam conducted by that time, then, we may go ahead and submit incomplete application?? Can someone provides a link where IRCC has mentioned that they will not reject the applications even if it was submitted INCOMPLETE LONG BEFORE ITS DEADLINE?

In addition, My Understanding is that we need the IMME number only when we are requesting for medical appointment for our family. For an individual/ Singles, the IMME is not required..Is it correct?

Did everyone have an easy time getting proof of funds document from bank? Gonna be going Scotiabank tomorrow and ask the teller for it. Just wondering if it's easy to get. Thanks.
If you are already in Canada using CEC, you don't need proof of funds.

1. Up to you. It's unlikely that upfront medicals will be happening in a month.

2. The website clearly states apps won't be refused for being incomplete due to COVID-19 closures.

No, no one can provide you with such a link because IRCC saying that it completely unnecessary.

Thanks for the response mate, but regarding 2), I think what IRCC meant by that is if you have submitted incomplete application because your deadline had reached, in that case, they won't reject it.. and I think it makes more sense this way (I could be wrong though). IRCC doesn't say anywhere that we can submit incomplete applications even if the deadline is far away..

If that's what they meant to say, they would have said that. You are over complicating this for no reason. It says incomplete apps can be submitted and does NOT give a time limit in regards to an ITA, so that means that there is NO time limit.

Like he said, feel free to hang on to your “incomplete” application.

I don't know why but I've been asked to upload POF, even though i'm through CEC.
It might be because the stupid EE system gave you ITA under skilled worker class. I am worried about getting an ITA under that.

Who does not need proof of funds
You don’t need to show that you have enough money to support yourself and your family if

  • you’re applying under the Canadian Experience Class or
  • you’re authorized to work in Canada and you have a valid job offer, even if you apply under the Federal Skilled Worker Program or the Federal Skilled Trades Program
Keep your funds up to date in your profile. The system may find that you’re eligible for more than 1 program. You don’t always know ahead of time which program you’ll be invited under.
