of course not. it probably just means resubmission of passports for new visas and coprs. if the closure extends for a long time ( > 6 months) i would think there might be a request for new pcc or remedical, just to make sure the applicant did not commit a crime or have a new medical issue, but thats just a guess.
That's what I thought too but the exact line is this :

Once it’s possible for you to travel, use the web form to let us know. We’ll then give you more detailed instructions regarding restarting the processing of your permanent residence application.

That "restarting the processing" is very unclear, isn't it, what does that mean exactly?

On 16th we got absolutely new info, borders are closed. What you mentioned is that you could have come but you did not come, in that case of course you may not get PR.

I do hope you are right. They should rephrase it because it's very misleading. Hopefully there will be an update by tomorrow.

Would really encourage you to land if you can. What state do you live in?
It seems from the reading the tweets by transportation minister :

Canada will also deny boarding to any foreign national coming from the US, who has resided outside of Canada or the US in the last 14 days.

That those "foreign nationals" living in the US can still land in Canada as of now. Hoping this policy does not change again, we live in Texas plan to do border landing this weekend.

What do you mean, it wasn't clear? I can still land based on the fact that they are allowing "foreign nationals" to travel from the US as long as they have not left US for last 14 days. So I still hope to make a landing this weekend, but not sure if policy will change again :(

As far as I know only US citizens can enter Canada. Do you have a link regarding that what you mentioned above?

Here is the specific thread :

"Effective March 18 at noon, Canada will deny boarding to all foreign nationals on flights to Canada coming from all countries other than the US."

Canada will also deny boarding to any foreign national coming from the US, who has resided outside of Canada or the US in the last 14 days.

I think this means that foreign nationals residing in the US (for more than the last 14 days) can indeed travel to Canada (at least via flight), since it says from all other countries other than US.

But the situation is fluid and the ground reality remains to be seen sadly :(

Thank you, I did not know this. I will call Canadian border tomorrow to make sure.

Do you have info regarding coming back to US from Canada, do they allow foreign nationals to enter US from Canada?

I could not get through toe the immigration helpline today. Please do update if you are able to get through yourself, I will do the same.
As far as I know there is no restriction to travel from Canada to the USA, but we will see what happens in the next few days. My ticket to Detroit is this coming weekend, still sticking to the same plan but definitely seems like it is uncertain right now.

Yes, I will call and share here. What you shared from twitter does not seem accurate to me, the guy just mentioned briefly mentioned flight from the US, just did not specify that only US citizens can enter Canada. SO, let us call tomorrow and clarify, we should call Canadian border directly.

Only immediate family members of citizens are allowed. Unfortunately not PRs. I guess she'll have to wait out till things normalize or other option is try to get through and land before it takes effect on 18th noon.
