Hello guys ! Any parents here can't do sputum test? My mom had troubled to do sputum and she can't really make it . Doctor suggested to do 6 months repeat xray since can't do sputum test. Any had same experience here? Thank you .
If they notice any spot\patch or abnormality in the lung X-ray they ask for a sputum test or an exiting X-ray you might have which is at least 6 months old. This is to rule out TB. If the spot in the old X-ray is the same size as the one visible in the current X-ray and has not grown or become worse it means there is no TD and you are good. Alternatively sputum test will also confirm presence of TB. I don’t exactly remember but I think they have to culture the sample for around 3 months. So if you go with a sputum test, you will be wasting 3 months before CIC will get your medical report. If you have an old X-ray which is at least 6 months old send that instead. In case not, you will have to wait for a min of 6 months before another X-ray can be done. You have to decide 3 months or 6 months

Hi.
Am really worried now !!
Should I call them....

I have applied for my Parents PR and AOR Received date on my file is 20th june 2019 through an Immigration consultant.

I can see the file is in " Application Received" for both Sponsor and PR Application in my ECAS.

However there is no update after that ?
What you suggest, wait is only the option or can we call someone ?

Looking for an advice...as I can see majority of people who have applied on same dat have DM status...

So even she can't do sputum, 6 months repeat xray will be fine?

It is the protocol. First approach is to do sputum test and repeat x-ray after 3 months.
If the person is unable to produce sputum, then repeated x-ray after 6 months.
They will compare both the x-rays. It is very normal procedure. They do it for almost everyone who has got some scars in their xrays.
The only thing is You will have to wait for 6 months. But as suggested by this other mate, if your mom have any previous xrays done 6-7 months ago, you can take those to the panel physician and ask them to compare it with that (but I am not sure if they will accept the xrays done outside).
Did your mom tried her best to produce any sputum? My mom had to go through the same in her super visa medical 2 years ago and it was hard for her to produce sputum but somehow she Was able to do it. It took 3 months for her to pass the medical at that moment.
So in your case if your mom can not do sputum at all, you will have to wait 6 months to do another x rays.

When did the physician inform you about lung spots?? I mean how long it took?? My mom done upfront medical for super visa. Almost 2 weeks but have not heard anything. I hope this would be a positive signal.

If your mom did it updront, then you should contact doctor’s office in 3-4 weeks to see if they have got any furtherance tests.
For my mom, she also did updront medical for supervisa and the panel physician was not very familiar with the process . He told us immigration will contact us if extra tests will be needed. Immigration did send furtherance tests (sputum and xray) but being it upfront we never got this request letter to us.
So we waited some time and submitted the application thinking its all good. Then we got a an email from the Visa office saying that they requested extra tests on this date and we have not fulfilled it. After that letter we asked the doctor and he opened the e medical and said yes they requested these extra tests and then we did those. It was good visa office gave us a chance to explain why we did not do it and then we submitted the proof that we did it now.
So in case of upfront medical, its kind of hassle when there is furtherance as they do not have our email address etc so I don’t know how immigration informs us that we should go to doctor back and do more tests.

I would recommend you contact doctor’s office in 3-4 weeks and ask them about it.

Hey, I got the same request and I also don't have the 5th and 8th grade certificates.

What have you done for your 5th and 8th grade certificates?
I just sent the original birth certificate copy and its translation copy, that was all they asked for, hence I did not send any additional document. After a few days, I got biometric request as well.

Hi guys,

Does anyone know if for passport re-issue from India, do they keep the older passport with them until your application is being processed for the new passport ?

Thanks.

Have you applied already? If so, then you will get email for furtherance but as we waited a month or so before applying, we never got any communication. But when we applied then they told us that they already asked for these tests (10 days after the initial medical).
If you have already applied then they have your contact details and they will contact you.

Hi,
Urgent query. please help.
my mother is in Canada on TRV. she came here on 10th Oct 2019. I have applied for her PR. yet to recieve AOR, Due to corono virus i dont want her to travel to India, her six months months are up by April 10th.
1, should i apply for trv extension.
2. if i apply for her extension will it effect her trv duration which is 10 years multiple entry
3. or should i send her to my brother in Buffalo and ask her to return rather than her going to India as it is in high risk zone.
please please help me. i am very tensed, as i have only 9th march to apply online ( extension applicattion should be 30 days before expiry.)
I was intending to send her in april hence the last minute tension due to virus.
thanks in advance.

Medicals- done February 24 ( Mom and Sis were cleared)

Do I need to inform them about the medicals... that we're still gonna wait for sputum result? Thanks

it's what I mentioned earlier, they don't bother to update accounts, I have the same status " we requested ..." and our IME was done on Nov 8th and additional visit with specialist Feb 5th :(
