Update for those interested lol – I called CIC this mooring and was told that a temporary file was created on January 9th and my application was marked complete so it likely will not be returned. However, the agent reviewing it may ask for additional docs (like my NOA) later on in the process. They also said that my application has not started processing yet it’s just been marked complete so the wait for the AOR continues. I’ve heard not to take everything CIC agents say at face value but I am now cautiously optimistic that my application won’t be returned.
Checked mines in ecas and it says it's in process. Hopefully that means it won't be sent back :)

Quick update on our application:

My husband and I (PA) initially sent our application (PR + OWP) on October 31st. The application was received and signed for on November 6th.

Our application was sent back to us on the 21st of Nov for missing NOA, and we received it on the 27th of Nov. We included the missing document and sent it back on the same day.

Application was received by IRCC on Dec 2nd, so I guess that makes us December applicants now.

Since then, I have been checking my application using ECAS and it only listed my application as “Application Received”. I checked again today and the status was changed to “In Process”, although I did not receive an AOR yet (maybe by the end of the day?). Anyway, I decided to try and link my application to my account using the information that I have, and IT WORKED ON THE FIRST TRY!

I don’t know what is up with the no AOR thing, and it seems like this has happened to several applicants with different dates, but I am glad that my application is now listed as "in process".

Can someone please let me know how do I link my OWP application to my account as well?

Thank you and good luck to everyone.
How did you link the account? Is it the PA or sponsor account? Mines is in process too.

I linked my application to my account (I am the PA) following these steps: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/how-to-link-an-application-to-cic-account-step-by-step-instruction.619724/

I would recommend that you use the application number provided to you in the AOR email and family name, if you don't have your UCI.
The UCI sent in the AOR email is the sponsor's UCI so it won't work if you use that combination.

Good luck and let us know if it works for you!

Hi, I didn't think the sponsor had to complete IMM5406 form for family details. It's said that only PA needs to complete the form on CIC site.

Our application was returned last night due to missing information on the IMM5476 family details form (I, the common law sponsor, forgot to input my details). We filled it, resigned it, and sent it off again same night. Sucks that we're a month behind now because of a stupid mistake. At the very least, it means everything else in our application was correct and it shouldn't be sent back again.

Sent December 3rd they received December 6th.
No AOR yet, we are hoping that we will receive something this week. The wait is a bit nerve-wracking.

hey everyone, i haven't received my AOR yet, received december 6th.

however today i searched my wife (principal applicant)'s info (lol i was searching with mine im the sponsor) and able to link the application. Funny my wife did the same on her portal, now she got the application only, its de-linked from my gckey.

it says its received on december 6th , no AOR, looks like someone said, they first create the application number and then send the ones they created in batches of emails, so im assuming they worked on it today, created and then they will send the AOR emails.

im thinking AOR is on the way soon. but glad at least this part of the application has been handles and no return. now at least 90 days till we get medical request?
