I did an interview tonight with a CBC reporter - following up on a story about our case in May - talking about the excessive processing times and lack of communication. It is supposed to air on Monday, and also be on radio and on the web. I hope it will draw more attention to the long waits (15 months so far for us).

14 months, no interview, no bgc started. This is so frustrating, in one month my medical is expire :(
What ! Have you engaged the assistance of your mp? Sometimes they can be a little helpful when you are way over the timeline , Urgh praying for you

Good ! Because they need to be aware , too many people that have never experienced the process have zero idea on just how NOT easy it is to get a visa . It’s lengthy and seriously stressful on the strongest of relationships . Praying for you toi

Thanks! The best part was when the reporter asked our son what he would say if the Prime Minister was listening and Tito said, "Mr. Prime Minister, you broke your promise to ME, and the government doesn't understand the importance of family."
Honestly she should have just interviewed him.

I am really proud - considering he has autism and is slightly developmentally delayed - he absolutely rose to the occasion. He talked about how his dad calls him his hero (he does) and plays with him and likes his art, and if his dad took him to school he wouldn't be bullied so much. The journalist had to turn of the microphone - she was crying. I honestly hope they air more of his voice than of mine!
