CSQ for Family Class Sponsorship Application (Spouse)

Hello all,

I need help please. I'm in the process of sponsoring my spouse from Mexico. I currently live in British Columbia but will be relocating to Montreal very soon due to a new job. My spouse's application is currently at the Mexico VO (application was submitted on Aug 28th and Mexico's VO confirmed receipt on December 23rd). Can anyone explain what do I have to do to obtain a CSQ this late in the process? I haven't relocated to Quebec just yet, so I'm not sure if that's something I can do if I'm not a resident of Quebec. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Can we got our PR approved and Visa stamp with COPR without having CSQ or it is mandetory to obtain CSQ 1st before landing or gettig PR approved and Visa Stamp...?

Good question I was asking myself the same thing given we’ve done the biometrics, the medical tests and that the federal asked for our CSQ to be sent to them by the beginning of February. So I presume they won’t give us the PR until they receive the CSQ since they’ve asked for it.

Once you actually move to Montreal you would write to IRCC/VO (e.g., using email or the webform) advising them that you moved to Montreal (presumably also changing the residence and mailing addresses they have for you on file), at which point they will most likely ask you for CSQ and put a hold on finalizing your application until they get it from you (meaning the processing of the application will be probably keep going but they can't issue a COPR/visa until they receive the CSQ).
Once you get that request from the VO for CSQ, you will then apply for it from Quebec's MIFI, which will require -among other things- a proof of residence in the province (lease, utility bills, driving license, etc.). Currently CSQ seems to be taking around 5 months to be issued from the date you request it, so you'd have to factor in that potential delay.

Thank you very much! Do you have any idea of what would happen if we decide to skip the CSQ and have my spouse land somewhere else and then head to Quebec? Would that amount to misrepresentation? I'm just thinking it may be too much of a hassle without having the certainty that we'll stay un Quebec for the long term... Any thoughts?

Its been 1.5 months they are processing applications of August.

Did you receive any email from IRCC with this regard..? If yes, can you please share that one..

But I think you could get your PR and visa stamp.
