I am almost like you. They received my apication oct29. Aor nov23. in dec 5 they asked for imm5532. I don't know why.because we sent it with the application. I sent it again in dec11.since than no update at all. I see that most of the sponsors got approved only us
Yeah, not sure why it is taking time. Even the web form, there is no response.
I am not sure what else to do apart from waiting :)

Same here. App received Oct 30, Aor Nov 27. No SA or update after that.
First updates (after AOR1) made last night to PA on GC Key requesting PCC from from a country where PA lived in more than 7 years ago. We only submitted PCC from current country of residence/citizenship since the requirement said PCC from country where you lived most of your life or where you lived in the last 5 years. But anyway, if they ask for it, then they want it. Also received Biometrics request last night although they were done in 2018 when spouse applied for temporary visa. The old biometrics are valid till 2028 and they are registered and shown on GC key. But again, if they ask for biometrics then they want new ones. Haven't even received SA yet which is kind of interesting because we indicated on the application that we do not wish to proceed with the PR if sponsor is found ineligible.

Update: Just received SA now. Hang in there everyone who hasn't received SA yet, you're next. Things are moving slowly for some of us, but at least they are moving!

Hello Guys,

I am yet to submit my application. I know there is no income eligibility on spousal sponsorship. As any sponsor who is unemployed submitted application?
Is showing considerable savings and mentioning through a letter that sponsor is not relying on any provincial benefits and eligible to support spouse through their personal savings enough for the sponsor approval?

you can check minimum income needed for 2 family member is $16,135
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/documents/proof-funds.html

so, i would say make sure you have enough savings than let say 1.5 or 2 times $16,135 i.e. around 20 to 25K to not have any doubts in mind of the visa officer...
Also as you are unemployed, I would say show them that you are applying for jobs, emails sent to prospective employers, etc..
write a cover letter of explanation mentioning your situation..

This will speed up your sponsor approval....
