Do you have any idea why it takes long time? Did you have Human NOI? Did you get additional documents requested?

I think the quota for OINP 2019 was finished up until the submissions till 13th Sep. I guess that was the reason for the delay.

Assessment: 12 Dec (that wait was horrifying :P)
DIP: 3 Jan 2020
Nomination: 8 Jan 2020 ;)

I know I am the forum expert here, but not as far as PNPs are concerned. Can anyone here confirm if it's possible for someone sitting outside Canada to get a nomination through OINP or is it near impossible cuz of local competition?

Yes it is possible. many applicants who got nominated have no tie to Ontario/Canada, including myself.
