Hey, I am a September 2019 applicant and I also asked this question in the Sep 2019 thread. I received AOR1 on Nov 6th and did all the other process (SA, BIO & MED). My file was transferred to CPCM on Nov 22nd. I never received any formal AOR2 letter but ecas shows "started processing on Dec 9th". Today ecas shows DM on PA side. GCKEY has none of the following:

No BGC in process
No AOR2 letter
No ADR for chat log translation since I never submitted translation with the original package.
BUT ECAS SHOWS DM.
I know I shouldnt worry too much when there are many who are waiting for months without any update. But what stresses me out is the fact that I have not received any email or pre-arrival or anything to put my mind at ease. Can you share your experience please?

Your GCkey will not show any updates until you have submitted your passport for visa stamping.

If you're file is transferred to CPC Mississauga, they don't send out AOR2. You will just notice that DM side on the PA side and an update to line 2 as well saying they have processed your application at Date xxxxx. The PA will receive an email for Passport request from the visa office in their country. Usually comes 2 to 5 days...could be more depending on the visa office. Mine was 2 days.

Question for us going to Quebec do we need to do the Values test or it applies for all who apply for CSQ after January 1st?

Good question I think the value test is for those applicants who apply in January 2020

Hi! It's the same for us. Application received August 12, 2019 - and so on (Sponsor Approval, Biometrics)...last we heard from them is the medical was passed on October 31, 2019 and then we have heard nothing. Actually I don't think it's been transferred to a visa office either. I had sent a webform request about the format of the address that was showing in ECAS (it showed as incomplete) - anyway the address wasn't an issue because they confirmed that the address is correct in their system. Within the same email response to the webform they confirmed our file was still at CIO Sydney (as of November 29, 2019). Maybe it's okay since there are a few of us from August who haven't heard anything since the medical. I imagine we will have to wait until January to hear much of anything now since I'm sure that things slow down at the end of December and early January with vacations etc.

It's discouraging because I don't know why our file hasn't been passed to a visa office, but we are resigned to the fact that we just have to wait.

Just hang tight. My friend whose file was received Aug 8, just got her husband approved for sponsorship. She didnt even have biometrics or medical request yet.

Medical submitted & passed nov 11

When they requested my biometrics I couldn't submit them because they need my passport as identification and my passport was sent to my country for renewal at that time.

I sent through webform requesting to extend my bio period. I got this reply:

"Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
We verified the information you provided regarding your request and have forwarded it to the responsible office.
They will contact you if further information is required or if a decision is made on your application."

Then I received my passport and contacted to take biometrics appointment they requested a new bio form IMM5657 with the new date.
Dec 5 I sent through webform again informing them I received my renewed passport and requesting the updated form IMM5657
Dec 9 I got the same reply :
"We verified the information you provided regarding your request and have forwarded it to the responsible office.
They will contact you if further information is required or if a decision is made on your application."


Now I'm still waiting for the form, no updates yet and I still haven't submitted my biometrics!!

Any idea why took them very long?
What should I do? Should I call the help center? Any advice I'm so worried

You guys are lucky not to be dealing with Mexico. My file on ECAS says they are working on the application, it was sent to Mexico on November 5 but I still haven't received my medical request.
