I am currently leaving the employ of a company that has terminated me without cause. As you can imagine, I am less than happy with them right now, and personally don't want to interact with them if I don't have to.

I was 2 weeks shy of gaining a full 1560 hours / 365 days with them, which means I will have to get another job, complete a few weeks with them, and then apply for CEC.

As apart of CEC, I will need to provide a T4 for this last employer. I know from last tax season, they generated these T4s and passed them out by hand to us.

What happens when I am no longer at the company, how/when do I get access to my T4 for this year?

That's easy . Your T4 can be downloaded from your CRA account anytime. Just log in to your CRA and select the year and you will see all T4 from the company you worked with. A better job is in the way.

Cheers mate,

Make sure to get the reference letter from the company, stating your job duties, average hours and stuff to show you experience with NOC you will apply for, I am in the situation where I worked with company for 5 months and I am having trouble getting the reference letter

Cheers mate,
Ah OK, because I thought it was something that they had to snail mail to me?
I thought that that was something that is company specific, and I have to up

What kind of push back are you getting from your company?

Is it really considered a letter of reference for the PR? A letter of reference is to me, is a letter or recommendation where your supervisor sings your praises. The letter confirming my duties and when I worked there, shouldn't require much issue, especially since they don't have to put themselves out there, talking about me in a negative or positive way for another employer.

They will mail it to you (snail mail) when issued in early 2020, so be sure to provide a forwarding address if necessary. If your company files them electronically with Service Canada, you would also be able to access it online.

HOWEVER, they have to provide you with a Record of Employment (ROE) within 5 days of you leaving - or file it online with Service Canada (again, you will be able to download from that site, it might take a week or two before it appears in your account). You can use the ROE in place of the T4 (and you don´t have to wait as long for it).

It is not a letter of recommendation, it is a letter of reference providing the details of your employment. See "Proof of Work Experience" for the required details here:
