Yay!!! Hubby just finished his landing interview and is now a PR. We landed at the Etobicoke office. Whole process was quick and easy. The officer asked for our landing letter, hubby's passport and id with proof of address (driver's license and /or photo ID card). She asked hubby whether he had any convictions, dependants and whether he had ever been deported or denied entry to canada. She also asked for information about his last entry into Canada. He signed his COPR, she gave us a copy and then we were done. We're now sitting at service Canada waiting to get a new SIN for him. Next stop will be service Ontario for his OHIP.

I just want to thank everyone who has offered advice and support during this whole process. We couldn't have done this without you guys.

To everyone who is still waiting for news, don't lose hope. Your turn will come soon. :D it's been an amazing journey.

Officially a permanent resident today! Literally took 5 mins for the whole process. Praying for everyone else’s applications to be approved soon! Keep the faith!
Did they ask for your passport in your pr interview? My passport is with refugee board, I just completed my medicals. I want to know if I should request for my passport from refugee board or not

Ok I'm planning on waiting until I pass eligibility before I request for my passport or can i just request for it now? My passport is with refugee board because i applied for review of decision, so if i request my passport back that means I'll have to cancel my request for review i dont know how that will affect my status before i get my interview.

Yes they did. But for seized passports, There is actually a note on the invitation for interview about this. They will request it on your behalf

Ok thank you I appreciate that
“ If your passport is currently being held by the Government of Canada (IRCC/CBSA), we will request it on your behalf.”....

....”Instructions for Convention refugees, their dependents and other individuals with seized documents:

You must also provide the certified copies of all seized documents and your Notice of Seizure form. If you are unable to provide those documents, you may present any 2 of the following items, which must be issued by the government of your country of citizenship, nationality or last permanent residence:

o passport or travel document, national identification card, driver’s license, birth certificate/family record book, voter ID card/military ID card, Statutory Declaration (if accepted).”

I'm not sure how to certify a copy of my seized passport not sure my country's embassy even does that but i do have i.ds from my country but all expired, I do have my birth certificate i also have my old passport that expired it has my initial entry visa in it so hopefully those work. Fingers crossed. Thanks again.

Congrats to everyone who has already completed the process! :)
I submitted additional documents today, has anyone had to do this? And if so how long did it take to receive a decision? (We already got SA).

does anybody know what sort of questions they ask during the landing interview? Me and my husband have ours tomorrow morning. Do they only ask the PR applicant questions or do they also ask the sponsor questions as well? Thank you!
