Thanks Behbeh! Fingers crossed you won't need to re-do it! I checked the cic's website for biometrics enrollment places in Canada, but I'm not sure if it's available for people who want to apply for permanent residence as the website stated --

As part of the permit issuance process, Border Services Officers (BSOs) will biometrically enrol travellers who are eligible to make an application at a Port of Entry (POE) for a:

  • Work permit,
  • Study permit, or
  • Temporary resident permit

They asked for Biometrics yesterday and It is completed today. They updated the GCKey with new information needed and asked for Bio; And didn't accept the Bio for Visa given before.

Just today I could link the application to my GC Key account. I couldn't do so yesterday and I haven't received AOR1 yet. Application received on 21 Oct. Does this mean that I should be receiving AOR1 soon? What is the next step for me (sponsor) and for my spouse (PA)? Also by linking the application to my account, does this mean that no emails will be received from CIC? Do I have to check for any messages/requests from cic by logging in to the account?

Yes. Sponsor will receive an email saying application is received..it will have an application number...enter / update your case in google sheet tracker..
Keep checking ECAS / GCKEY / monitor emails which you will receive saying application is updated...
