I had a question. My medical is passed and approved but if I change my employer right now does it affect my application or processing time of it? And I am on close work permit

I have a question about the passport submission. Is it necessary that everyone, regardless of coming to Canada or not, should submit the passport ? due to emergency situation my dependence may not come to Canada in near future. Is it ok to submit passport for myself alone for PR finalization ?

Better wait for your PR to be safe. Your current employer might report you.

You can’t change job if you applied under current employer.
They can ask you job offer or paystubs any time.
Better to keep same employer till PPR
Don’t take risk

First of all, you can't change job under your current closed work permit directly. It's ILLEGAL. Your employer, location and job title MUST much what you have on your closed work permit.

Secondary, if you want to change the job under closed work permit, you should do it as below steps (the sample case based on MPNP, regulation may different in province where you stay),
1. Get a new job offer
2. Contract province nominate so they will review if your new job still match your nomination program which you got previously
3. If they approved your job change, you can ask for a new support letter for new closed work permit
4. Ask your new employer to register for you on employee portal
5. Submit your new closed work permit application with documents from step 3 & 4
6. You can only start to work AFTER you get your new closed work permit
7. Notice CIC with changing of job
So you will see technically it works but difficult in reality, especially for step 4 and 6, most employers don't want to spend additional time and resource for a 'uncertain' employee then waiting 100+ days for your new work permit.

If your current closed work permit will be expired in four month, then you can apply a bridge open work permit based on your FN. If that's the case, you just need to,
1. Get approval form province nominate program
2. Notice CIC for the job change
