Hello everyone,

Hope there’s anyone who can enlighten me about my situation. My entry here in Canada was thru Student pathway, I finished my program January 2018 and applied for PGWP. Currently, working in a retirement home as a full time PSW( I used to work in the same company as part time PSW while studying). I was planning to apply under Caring for people with high medical using NOC 3413 but the pathway has just been abolished recently. Now, I have read that OINP will be doing amendments in all its program under it. NOC 3413(nurse aids, psw’s) will be included in HIGH IN DEMAND SKILL STREAM. I would like to apply under the program but I am confuse about the “wage requirement” My question is, since my entry here in Canada was as a Student and I am working under PGWP, will my wage requirement fall under “entry level” or minimum? Coz In the High in Demand skill stream there’s a section in there that states that “ median wage “ is the requirement. My current rate per hour is $2 less than the median wage. Please help, any insights will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
dont care too much about the median wave, just submit your payroll to prove that it is a real job.

Upfront
Hi all,

I've applied for "OINP - Job Offer: International Student Stream" at 21st of April.
So, for now, my application was in next statuses:
  • Submitted: 21 April 2019;
  • Assessment: 17 May 2019.
The first thing worries me is that previous comments state essentially faster changing between Submitten/Assessment/DIP statuses.
Is it because of "Pause" in intake of Applications?
Is there any information on how "Pause" in my stream affects applicants who've applied just before it?

Thanks a lot for your future answers! :)
Pause has nothing to do with this. My wife created her application on April 20 and we submitted the last document and the application on April 30. She got her nomination yesterday. You should email or give them a call.

Hi there,

I would advise you to speak with your employer and explain the situation to them.
Have a meeting with you Manager/ HR (whoever is the head or in charge), ask them if they could help you make little changes in your wages.

For example: if the median wage is $23 per hour and you make $21 per hour

Since you said you are employed full time, which is 40 hours per week
As per Canada Imm. Full time hours is 30 hours per week

$21 per hour - 40 hours per week
$23 per hour - ???????

You can ask your employer to pay you at the rate of $23 per hour at let's say 37.5 hours per week (FYI: I didn't do the maths).

All in all, request a little changes in your pay which be equivalent to the same thing they pay you now. They will not pay you more, they will not pay you less, they will pay you the same. It's just the hours per week and hourly wage that is changing for a little while (for your application).

they just make a call to verify this, and you will be a liar, banned for 5 years

Hi,

I have recently filed OINP through International student with job offer stream.

I asked my employer to help me with it and they agreed (it is a recruitment company where I work as Recruiter).

The process is lengthy but it is worth it if you are short CRS points. I came to Canada as an International student and started working, even with job experience for 1 year my CRS score was low due to only diploma degree (as I don't have Bach. / masters degree)

For me this was the only option.

Process --

I chose to go through lawyer as in this particular category - the employer has to provide a lot many documents - many confidential documents like

- business registration number
- incorp. number
- T4As and many more
- they have to fill various forms and you have to provide employer letter's for all the jobs you have done in last 10 years

I have already filed it - status ----

OINP applied - 25th may 2018
Email of receipt of confirmation - 1st June 2018
Status - Assessment

Will keep you posted if it changes.

Also, in case u need any help, DM me and I shall give you my contact info and help in whatever way possible.
Hi,bro can you give me your phone number ..i have some doubts ..so can you please talk.?? Thanks

Hi,

I'm planning to apply for the OINP Employer Job Offer: International Student Stream next year but I still have some questions.

I'm already working full-time but my job offer doesn't contain all the required information (NOC, duties and responsibilities, number of hours per week, etc). On their website it says:

"If you are currently working for your employer in the same position as your job offer, you can submit your original job offer, signed by you and your employer, with your application, even if it is older than six months. However, it must include:
  • all of the mandatory information listed above
  • a recent letter from your employer confirming your ongoing employment, the conditions of the job offer and any changes to the position being offered to you"
But my original job offer doesn't contain all the mandatory information. It's confuse.

Next question: after the nomination, can I leave my employer?

I hope you guys can help me. Thanks in advance.

I asked my employer to change the original job offer

Hi,

No, you can't. Yo must be employed at the same work till you get your PR

Thank you! I think I'll ask as well
Is there a place in the website that states that? Because I couldn't find. I thought that once I got the nomination I could leave the employer and then apply for the EE.
I don't know if exists such a website, but I can tell you, as I already got my nomination under the Employer Job Offer stream, which is similar to the International Student Stream, that you can't leave your job.
The application to PR is under the paper-based system and doesn't allow you to apply under Express Entry, the Nominee Certificate that you will receive states that this nomination is not valid for EE and that your employment is restricted to the employer who sponsored you.

Hello brother,

I applied with you for Paper based file in last June 2019.
My nomination already expired and need work permit extension support letter from OINP.
I already sent email with paystubs.

but the problem is my company recently moving my restaurant to another location and if I inform OINP they will ask again all 5 full time employees and revenue all from employers.?
My company, wage, hours, duties, title all are same only restaurant number and location change.
Please help me out.
